There she laid. These golden curls looked marvelous yet messy, as they were spread on her pillow. On tiptoes I walked up to Cate, kneeling down next to her side of the bed, where her face was pointing at. I loved everything about it. The wrinkles, that begun to became more visible and so her never aging eyes.
"Happy birthday, sleeping beauty." I cooed in a quiet voice and stroke a strand of hair out of her face. My fingertips brushed her soft skin barely, but it made me smile to feel her. Cate didn't react, so I kept talking. "Catie.." I sang and moved in a wee bit closer, whilst I was listening to her change in breathing. "Good morning, birthday queen." The woman's lips gently curled up, causing a wide smile to hop onto my face. "Now look at your gorgeous-"
Suddenly I was pulled onto the bed and into her arms, causing a quiet scream to well over my lips.
"What a beautiful way to be woken up." Cate grinned and her tired eyes looked into mine. Her brows knitted slightly, though. "Why are you all dressed and-" She scrunched her nose, while taking in my scent. "Have perfume on? Isn't it like too early?" The blonde cocked her brow.
"It's never too early or too anything, if it's for you."
"Would you stop being cheesy and kiss me already?" With a shaking head, I pressed my lips onto hers, feeling how she wanted to deepen the kiss, as the woman's hands pressed me closer to her.
And as much as I would love to let this go on, I couldn't. "Cate-" The blonde kept kissing me. "We- Cate." I tried it again and finally she allowed me to speak. "We have to go downstairs. It's your birthday and we should waste any time."
"I don't consider kissing you a waste of time." Cate smirked and kissed me again. Her touch caused my skin to heat up and tingle, in a comforting way.
She was one of a kind... Reluctantly I pulled away, glaring into her pale blue eyes. "I don't either, but we should go downstairs." I smiled, whilst still remaining in her arms.
The blonde's eyes squinted, when they landed somewhere on my hairline or hair in general. "Is that dough in your hair?" Cate chuckled airily, making me recall the recent hours.
"You're not wearing your glasses-"
"Careful, miss 'What's written on there'" The woman mocked my behavior, making me roll my eyes.
"That was just really small! Now, can we go?" I sighed.
"Alright, my love. Let's go downstairs." The blonde smiled and pecked my lips a last time, before we walked into the second floor in quite a fast pace.
Sarah and I have been organizing a great bit for today. It's just gonna be interesting to see, if Cate likes it, which I am hoping for. Honestly, Sarah is such a fun person to be around. This woman has no filter. Like at all. Which means, what we had planned was also pretty amusing to create, due to Sarah being so deadly honest. She would randomly ask me the most person questions, whilst we were blowing air into the balloons.
"Can we come?" I yelled downstairs.
"I hope you finished that already upstairs!" The brunette's amused chuckles, echoed form downstairs.
"Paulson, children are in the house!" Cate warned her, causing more giggles to reach our ears. The kids absolutely loved this as well. Sarah was almost like a child, at times.
