Chapter 9
"So, where are we going?" I asked Olwen.
"We're going to visit Ember's dad," she replied.
"How do you know where he is?"I groaned.
"I have my sources," Olwen grinned.
We followed Olwen to an apartment complex. She pressed the buzzer and spoke into the mic.
"Hello, I'd like to speak to Paul Lynn," Olwen said.
A minute later, a voice answered from the intercom.
"I'm sorry Mr. Lynn doesn't want to give another interview," the voice responded.
"We just found out that his daughter may be alive," Olwen insisted.
"Come in," the voice said sighing.
The door opened to reveal a middle-aged Asian man. He seemed unnerved by our presence.
"What do you mean my daughter might be alive?" the man said.
"Let's go somewhere quieter," Olwen said.
"Come into my apartment and I'll brew some tea," her dad said.
Little did I know we would be sitting for a long time...
