"How could you?" Shigeyo hissed.
"I just wanted to see her again," I murmured.
"She's not your daughter anymore, She's Ember," she insisted.
"What did you do to her!?" I asked.
"Just made her acceptable to the public by hiding her Asian heritage," Shigeyo told me.
"Why are you doing this?!" I growled.
"The same reason I'll put a restraining order on you if you're five feet away from Ember," she explained.
