Jee le zindagi

CHAPTER 2

Taani wakes up and after a long while she feels unburdened from all the chaos that has been going on in her life for the past few months, she is free from all the judgements of the college students and the gang, she gets up and gets ready to just enjoy today by going on a shopping and movie date with herself. " Hey krishnaji aaj itna mann halka lag rha he na, thodi tension ho rhi he kyunki kal first day he job ka but fir bhi achchi wali anxiety he, bas ab kuch naye formal kapde lelun aaj aur bade dino se golgappe nai khaye, haayeee golgappo ka sun ke hi muh me paani aagaya, chal Taani jaldi nikalte he ghar se aur pet puja karte he."

Here in Rey's house the whole gang is present, as Rey wouldn't come out of his room they are all brooding and bitching about Taani except Swayam who didn't feel like he would be much of a help for his best friend with how he himself is down so he decided to stay at his house for now. Rey is crying and remembering all the taarey moments, he remembers how clumsy and childish Taani was when she first met him, how rude he was to her when she dressed up as Kriya and how hurt taani had gotten after seeing his reaction, he remembers never taking a stand for her whenever his friends were rude to her and always blaming Taani for everything, "How fucking stupid was I? How could i have hurt someone so much, especially a person who loved him so much... I have to win her back, I love her Taani ke Krishnaji, i really do, I know I messed up but please bas ek mauka dilwa dijiye, is baar me use for granted nai lunga aur na hi use change karne ki koshish karunga bas please ek last chance de dijiye...." saying so to himself he cries himself to sleep.

Taani's POV

"Chal Taani jaldi taiyaar ho ja, first day pe good impression padna chahiye, Krishnaji bacha lena"

Khurana Main office,

Taani gets to the receptionist and introduces herself, " Hey, I am Taani Shekhawat, the new assignment of Mr Yash Khurana?" , " Good morning Miss Shekhawat, I am Sneha, sir is in an early meeting, why dont you get settled in your new office and wait for him? Wait a sec, Abhay kya tum inhe sir ka office dikha doge?" Sneha asks the guy who was walking by them.

"Yeah sure, hello I am Abhay, let me show you around the office as well." Abhay says while looking at Taani. "Taani -: "Thank you so much."

As they walk around the office, Abhay asks her, " So first day, nervous?" Taani replies " Bahot zyada nervous, uncl- I mean sir strict type boss he kya?" " Arey nai, he is a very chilled kind of boss as long as you are efficient in your work, don't worry, you will like it here." " Tum yaha kabse kaam kar rhe ho?" Taani asks. " I actually don't work here, tumahre boss mere dad he, me bas aaj college me chhuti he toh yaha ese hi aajata hoon time pass karne." Abhay replies. "oh so you are Yash Uncle's younger son? How's aunty now?" Taani asks, " You know my mom and dad?" He asks feeling a bit clueless. "haan, mere tauji aur uncle college friends he, Rishi Shekhawat?". "Oh toh tum Rishi uncle ke bhai ki beti ho! Dad did mention that he met you and uncle last week but didn't tell me ki you were joining the office." Abhay says, Taani smiles and nods,

"Okay so this your desk, Dad ki meeting bas khatam hi ho rhi hogi, do you want some or coffee while you wait?", "No thank you-" Taani is replying to him, " Taani beta, aagayi tum? Tu yaha kya kar rha he? Kaam dhandha nai he kya tuje?" Yash asks looking at his son, "haan haan ja rha hoon, mom ne aapko jaldi aane ko kaha for dinner, woh Sinha family aa rhi he.

Bye Taani." Abhay says before leaving.

"Bye!" replies Taani, " Zyada pareshan toh nai kiya na usne tumhe?" Yash asks Taani, " Arey nai sir, infact he showed me around the office." Taani replies. "Fir theeke, so ready to start your first day at work?" and they both get to work. Its 5PM when they both leave the office, "Chalo me tumhe ghar drop kar deta hoon." "Arey no uncle me chali jaungi, wese bhi aunty ne aapko jaldi ghar aane ko kaha he na?" Taani says. "Arey but tumahra gahr mere raste me hi aata he, aur me pooch nai raha tha, chalo." Taani smiles and sits in the car with him. "Ab batao ki tum ghar kab aa rhi ho Shalini se milne?" Yash asks Taani, "ummmm" Taani feels that she shouldn't impose herself on them.

"Ek kaam karo kal dinner humare sath karna, wese bhi you haven't met my kids, tumhari hi age ke he." Yash says, "okay uncle." Taani feels it would be rude to deny so agrees for the dinner. Yash drops her off at her flat and leaves for his house.

Rey/Swayam

Rey is missing Taani alot and can't seem to stop thinking about her, "Yaar Swayam woh wapas Jodhpur chali gyi he kya? Uska phone bandh aa rha he woh jabse gyi tabse, I don't know how to contact her." " Rey meri baat nai hui he usse, papa kuch bata nai rhe he, mom ko call kiya tha and she said woh Jodhpur nai aayi he but unhone bhi muje nai bataya ki Taani kaha he." Swayam says dejectedly. "Kyun kar rhi he woh yeh sab Swayam? Haan mana meri galti thi par kya uski itni badi saza?" Rey is close to tears again.

" Mein woh sab karne ko taiyaar hoon joh woh bole but ek chance toh de woh muje." Rey starts crying after saying this. Swayam tries to console him but he is missing his sister too.

Jisne kaha sahi kaha he, hume us cheez ki tabhi ehmiyat hoti he jab woh humare pas nahi rehti.....

Taani's Pov

"Hey Krishnaji me toh thak gyi, but din bahot hi achcha gaya, office ke log itne achche he and outsider wali feeling bhi nai joh college me aati thi. I miss Rey and Bhai tho, its better for them if I stay away, woh kabhi mera sath nahi de payenge and I don't deserve to be treated as if I am worthless, its so hard though, to let go the person you wanted to spend your whole life with. Ab bas woh sari naivety ko bhool ja Taani, focus on yourself, on your work and education. Surround yourself with people who value you, who accept you as you are."

She goes to check her instagram while making some tea for herself, she sees a request from Abhay Khurana, she smiles slightly and accepts the req and follows him back. 

Aditya Khurana POV 

" Mom, aap itna kaam kyun kar rhi he? Dr ne mana kiya he na khudko zyada exert karne se? Dijiye yeh me karta hoon aap jake rest kijiye." Aditya says to his mom, Shalini Khurana, "Ab kya me apne kitchen me khana bhi nai bana sakti? Woh doctoron ka kaam hi choti si baat ka batangar banane ka, ese hi toh woh log pese kamate he. Tu ja thoda rest karle, abhi toh 2 ghante pehle hi toh ghar aaya he Banglore se, ja yeh me karti hoon." says Shalini, " MOM mene kaha na me karlunga yeh, aap jaiye warna me wapas aapko hospital le jaunga check up karane." "Theeke ja rhi hoon, bilkul apne baap pe gaya he, tameez hi nai he ." Shalini makes a face and leaves the kitchen. But as soon as she gets out of the kitchen she smiles and thinks how lucky she is to have a son who cares so much about her and how she would make a perfect future partner for his wife. 

"Yeh ese kyun muskura rhi ho tum?" Yash asks as he sees her smiling to herself, she shakes her head and says "Bas ese hi, Taani kesi he? Aaj uska pehla din tha na? Aapne use ghar aane ko kaha?", "Haan mene use kal dinner pe bulaya he, tum usse hi puch lena yeh sab." Yash replies. "Khana ready he!" hollers Aditya while coming out of the house, "Sinha family bas aati hi hogi, chalo living room me wait karte he." says Shalini.

Taani POV

"Haan Tauji din achcha gaya he mere, ji khana kha liya mene, abhi bas chai pi rhe aur fir so jaungi." Taani on phone with her Tauji, "Good to know that you had a good day beta, teri Swayam se baat hui?" asks Tauji, "Mein thak gyi hoon Tauji, me aapse kal baat karti hoon. Goodnight." Taani says, Tauji sighs and says " Goodnight beta, take care." and they end the call.

Muje nai karni unse baat Tauji, sorry if I was rude to you but muje same cheezon pe baar baar ladne ka man nai ho rha, khudko baar baar justify nahi karna muje. Maybe after a time when everything isn't so fresh and there isn't this much bitterness between Bhai and me, shayad we can rebuild our bond and if not thn atleast we will be able to stay in the same room without it hurting so much.
