Chapter 8: The Sleep

Technoblade woke up to Ranboo rustling through his pack for something

Techno turned onto his back and looked at the ceiling he saw the sunlight streaming onto the wall he ran his hands through his hair And sat up on the cot that he'd just slept on

"Hey you're awake, I was about to wake you, it's almost time to head out" Ranboo said closing up his pack and placing it in front of himself

"Yeah I figure we'll get there by tomorrow evening" Techno said as he pulled his long pink hair into a ponytail

"Well then I guess we should head out now" Ranboo said standing up from his cot

"I guess we should" Techno said getting up from his cot he noticed his leg wasn't hurting anymore, a wound like that for a mortal it would've taken months to heal with proper treatment but it only took a 2 days

Strange Techno thought he'd thought about how he'd cut himself up only weeks before; injuries like that would've killed a mortal maybe being a god isn't a bad thing he thought

the voices whispered unintelligible words in his head

"Except for that" Techno said out loud

"Did you say something" Ranboo asked as he turned and looked at the prince

"No nothing important" Techno said in response

"Ok" Ranboo shrugged grabbing his pack off the floor and putting it on his shoulders "let's go then"

They walked out of the room to find Puffy and Foolish, Foolish was playing with his toys in the living room; and Puffy was making breakfast

"Good morning" they heard Puffy call from the kitchen

"Good morning" Ranboo replied "we're about to head out, thank you so much for your hospitality" Ranboo said gratefully

"You're welcome, if you ever come by again feel free to stop on by" Puffy smiled wiping her hands on a towel

Foolish was to caught up playing with his toys to care about the people leaving

They walked out of the house and down the steps they turned to the little awning on the side of the house and found their horses still tied up

"Good thing they didn't get spooked last night" Techno said

"Yeah I'd rather not walk all the way to the badlands" Ranboo remarked

"Well we'd better get moving" Techno said untying his horse and throwing the lead over his saddle

"Yep" Ranboo answered as he hopped on his black horse

Techno hopped on Carl and they rode off in the direction of the badlands

They followed a path for a while then they saw someone in front of them way in the distance they seemed to be coming towards the two rather quickly

"Ranboo stop" Techno halted the teen who was riding next to him

Ranboo nodded and pulled his horse to a stop

It was a rather hot day and they could still see whoever this person was in the haze of the day

Techno dismounted his horse and held the lead in his hand squinting his eyes at the stranger in the distance

The person came into view it was unfortunately a familiar face to Techno

"The fire god" Techno said shaking his head

"Who?" Ranboo asked concerned

"Someone I thought was dead" Techno replied unsheathing his sword, Ranboo was just watching his friend
