Chapter 9: The Reunion

Techno was still awake when Ranboo woke up

"Techno? What are you doing?" Ranboo said confused

"You wanted me to sit with you so I did" Techno said as he stood up

"I did? What happened last night?" Ranboo asked rubbing his eyes

"Some confusing stuff to say the least, but I'll tell you on the way" Techno said giving Ranboo a hand up off the ground

"Um alright" Ranboo said grabbing his friends hand and standing up, putting his pack on his back and untying his black horse

Techno untied Carl and they both mounted their horses

They rode back out back to the path

Phil and Wilbur were starting to gain on Techno, Wilbur was very tired they hadn't stopped all night Phil noticed it but Wilbur didn't admit it, he knew what he was getting into, he couldn't take a break now

They came to the forest where Techno and Ranboo were merely hours before, the fire was still smoldering

"He was here" Phil said "he was here not long ago if we hurry we might catch him before he reaches the badlands"

Wilbur nodded tiredly his eyes struggling to stay open he started to sway back and forth

"Wil you can stay here and rest and I'll come back with Techno" Phil said gently, rubbing his sons shoulder

"No, last time I left him I thought I would see him again and I didn't" Wilbur said angrily clenching his fists looking at the smoldering fire

"Wil you need to sleep you can't run on empty" Phil said softly

"I can and will" Wilbur said annoyed as he walked towards his horse and mounted his horse and walked him back to the path

Phil just shook his head and took off flying over Wilburs head again

They went on

"So that's what went on last night" Techno told his friend who was riding his black horse next to him

"I'm sorry I probably freaked you out, I guess I should tell you what an enderwalk is" Ranboo said with tired eyes

"Yeah it would probably be for the best" Techno said looking over at his friend

"So what happens is when I go on an enderwalk, I'm not in control of myself - my enderman half takes over and I just don't really remember what happens during that time" Ranboo said looking at his friend

"Well so you just go around never knowing what you did while you were not yourself to say the least" Techno asked inquisitively

"Not exactly-" Ranboo paused looking down at his hands "I um- you'll probably think I'm insane after I tell you this but -" Ranboo sighed "I have a voice in my head and it tells me what I do" Ranboo said wincing waiting for Techno to just leave him there thinking he's insane but he didn't

"Ranboo I have voices too, everyday" Techno said pulling his horse to a stop to look at his friend

"What?" Ranboo said shocked and in disbelief his jaw seemed to drop

"Yeah but when I tell you why you'll never want to see me again" Techno said running his hand through his pink hair

"Try me, nothing I could hear now could be more insane than this" Ranboo said with a chuckle

"I'm - a — god, I've been cursed by the life god with voices of past gods" Techno said gripping his horses reins and looking down at his hands

"You're a god?" Ranboo asked with a stutter
