Chapter 15: The Plans

The weeks flew by, they set up tents for the townspeople in the village center, the days seemed to get shorter, and with it
the lives of these townspeople, Phil looked around at his people, some were sitting around a campfire eating and telling stories to pass the time with laughter, others were sharpening weapons they were to worried about their own lives to care about the childish stories that were being told around the campfire, Phil looked and saw a group of young boys, no doubt they had never been to war or had even really fought before, they seemed to be excited for the war that would take place in a just a few days, Phil never understood the mortal glee that came with war, he'd been through thousands of them, they were all the same, dumb men who either held a petty grudge or just wanted to prove their power

Phil shook his head at the thought, those boys most likely would not be coming back home

Phil walked into the tent where they had their battle plans drawn up Techno stood and looked at the plans, little wooden pieces sitting on the table that soon would represent real people and real lives, Techno looked up as he heard his father enter the tent he gave him a nod as a greeting, Phil nodded back, "I went to see Ranboo earlier he and Bad have worked very hard on the potions they have made good quality potions and have made a lot of them" Techno said as he still looked down at the battle plans, "I expected no less" Phil said looking over at his son,

he noticed a little shimmer of green around Technos neck, he knew exactly what it was, "did you think I'd get rid of it?" Techno said still looking down at the battle plans he noticed his fathers inquisitive look, "No- maybe.." Phil said with his arms crossed, Techno just shook his head and looked disappointed, he tucked the hanging necklace back into his white shirt

it was awkward silence for a few moments before Phil sighed, "Technoblade I want to thank you" Techno looked up at his father he was still leaning over the table his necklace no longer visible , "for what?" Techno asked as he looked back down at the drawings, the traps that had been set and laid out, and the positions of the people, "for coming" Phil paused and sighed, "You didn't have to come back" Phil said looking at his son who did not look back, "Yes I did" Techno stood up straight and looked into his fathers crystal blue eyes they looked strong and powerful,

"This is my home, I would never, for the rest of my immortal life be able to forgive myself if I didn't come" Techno said strongly, looking at his father, the angel of death with no fear, in that moment Phil didn't see Techno as the little piglin he'd found in the nether, he was a man, a god, and most importantly his son, Phil smiled at his son

They talked over the plans, Dreams army would be at the castle in a matter of days if not sooner...

"Are the people ready?" Phil asked Techno who was looking down at the plans, moving the pieces around "as ready as they'll ever be in this short of time" Techno replied as he slid a wooden piece across the table

They heard a noise outside the tent, it was Wilbur looking for his father, Wilbur walked into the tent his face was angry, "what's wrong Wil?" Phil said looking at his fuming son with a worried face, "Tommy is such an IDIOT" Wilbur yelled, Techno laughed, "this isn't new information Wil we knew this already" Techno replied still looking at the plans, his pink braid hanging over his shoulder

"Yeah well he's done something so idiotic- so Tommy-!" Wilbur shouted annoyed and angry, "what'd he do this time" Philza sighed, "What did he do? He decided that he was going to take slow falling potions and throw them on himself and Tubbo and jump out of the tallest tree they could find" Wilbur yelled his arms flailing in anger, "well if they had slow falling then that shouldn't be a problem" Techno said looking calmly at his little brother who was still fuming, Phil knew that something bad had happened so he just waited for Wilbur to finish, "Well Techno it would've been fine if Tubbos potion hadn't worn off before he landed" Wilbur said angrily, Techno just shook his head Tommy why are you such an idiot he thought, he would probably never find that answer
