Chapter 35

Mikey looks at his hands, hoping that he would still have his powers. He stands outside in the garden, still hoping.

"Mikey?"

Michelangelo turns to see Rose.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" He asks.

"Wanted to get some fresh air. What about you?" Rose answered and asks him.

"Same" Mikey answers.

There was silence around them both until someone spoke up,

"I'm sorry"

Mikey looks at Rose after she said that.

"What do you mean, Rose?" He asks.

"I'm sorry for not helping you. I didn't want to go along but I was under his control" She says.

"I know it isn't an excuse but I am sorry" Rose adds.

"Rose, all this isn't your fault. It's the Shredders. You were just trying to survive. I don't blame you" Mikey tells her.

"You don't?" Rose ask him.

"I don't. Not one bit" Mikey says.

He pulls Rose into a hug, he hugs him back.

"I missed you, Rose," Mikey said.

"I missed you too, Mikey. I wanted to come back to see you" Rose says to him.

The two let go and April appears.

"You two need to see this," She said and goes back inside.

The two follow her to the living room where almost everyone is, watching the news.

On the news, they see someone recording live a bunch of foot soldiers holding people hostage.

They even see that the police inside the building are doing nothing.

"They're starting. We need to act now" Rose says.

"But Donnie and Ezra are still working on the weapon," April said.

"We'll have to go without them. The people need our help" Leo tells the others, who agree.

Time to gear up
