"Do you want to get lunch?" Scott asked as they exited the hospital.

"No thank you. You've done enough for me. I can't keep wasting your time on me." Vin denied.

"Think of it as lunch between friends. Friends always have lunch together."

When did we become friends, Chaim thought.

Vin looked like he was thinking, then he suddenly gasp and looked at Scott with a huge smile.

"I know! I can cook our lunch, and I'll be buying the ingredients." Vin thought that it was a great idea. He didn't want to be rude to reject Scott's invitation twice but he also doesn't want to spend money on a restaurant, because he knows Scott isn't the type to eat at a sidewalk canteen¹.

Scott thought about it and he really wanted to taste Vin's cooking, but the young man just got out of the hospital, as his (self-proclaimed) guardian, he can't let him do any labor for today.

"You just got out of the hospital. You can't exhaust yourself."

That's what I'm trying to do.

Chaim doesn't know how to cook, but Vin does. Seeing as he is now Vin, let's see if being in another body somehow made a miracle and Chaim would make edible food this time around.

"It's fine. Cooking isn't tiring, it's fun." Chaim convinced Scott. He has to let him cook. How else was he gonna inhale a lot of smoke to cause a heart attack?

Chaim didn't know if it would work but he didn't know how hearts work, he just have to try different stimulants to cause a heart attack.

In the end, Scott was convinced. He pulled Vin to his car and drove to a grocery store.

Before Scott got the chance to take his seatbelt off, Vin stopped him.

"What are we doing here?"

Scott looked at him confused.

"To buy ingredients? Aren't you gonna cook? I remember you explaining to me the benefits of a home-cooked meal just five minutes ago."

"I know, but why are we buying it here? The stuff here is expensive, you know. Let's go to the wet market. I can bargain there and I know just the perfect shops to get fresh ingredients from." Vin explained.

Scott looked even more confused now.

A wet market? Is that a market situated under the sea? Or perhaps it's one of those markets that floats on the sea?

Scott didn't want to appear ignorant in front of Vin so he kept the questions all to himself.

"I'll show you the way. Come, turn left here on this exit."

After a few minutes of driving, they arrived at a very crowded place. Scott was terrified.

"This is the wet market?! Are you sure this is sanitary?!"

Chaim laughed at him and thought that the man belongs to the really rich-rich group of people.

Scott scrunched his nose at the stench he smelled after getting out of the car. This is not what clean food smells like.

Chaim grabbed his hand and guided him through the twists and turns of the market.

"Hey, beautiful. Buy some fish from me. Only 45 per kilo."

"Buy now, buy now! Freshly slaughtered pig! Straight out of the slaughterhouse!"

"Fresh vegetables! Fresh fruits! Buy now!"

"Cheap prices here!"

Ignoring the shouts of the vendors, Chaim led Scott to the shops that Vin frequented whenever he comes here. They first went to buy meat.
