A gloomy Naruto is shown sitting on his bed.

"What happened?" Itachi questioned.

"He looks heartbroken. Did he get into a fight or something?"

The sky is shown, dark clouds covering it as the new Team 7 groups up wearing all black.

"Someone died."

A portrait of the 3rd Hokage has been placed with a bouquet of flowers Infront of it.

"Third." "Sensei.." "Hokage-sama.." gasps around the room were heard.

The screen then zooms out showing a funeral service taking place.

"How did this happen.." Jiraiya asked, to no one in particluar.

"They don't look much older so it can't be that long before this happens.

"This has to be one of the things we must not let happen. The Hokage- he couldn't be..."

The screen then pans to show jonins, chunins, genins, civilians all in black as the rain starts pouring.

The earth cries for it's loss.

"We will begin the memorial service." Homura announces, "for the Third Hokage who lost his life in this battle."

"Battle? They all seem to know what happened."

"It must have been something big."

"But of course, they casually leave out important stuff.."
"I would like to argue that the Third Hokage dying is quite important."

Naruto's thoughts are heard, "Why did Old Man Hokage have to die?"

A young kid with goggles is near Naruto rubbing his eyes as he cries.

"Who's that?" Naruto asked, seeing his future self near him.

"That.. I think is my grandson."

"Konohamaru? He's grown."

Iruka places a comforting hand around his shoulder.

"Oh! Iruka-sensei!" Naruto points.

A different setting is shown, the memorial stone with the back of Kakashi who was staring at it.

Behind him, a girl comes up with a bouquet of flowers.

"For Hayate?" Kakashi asked without even looking.

"Hayate? He dies too....?" Kurenai spoke, her voice somber.

Yugao places her bouquet down as Kakashi turns to leave.
