Transfiguration

Tongues are the most dangerous weapon known to man
This much is true
Far deadlier than those used in Afghanistan
Phrases leave an everlasting tattoo

A sole vowel can incite a damaging speech
A laceration that will never fully heal
Accumulating like trash on the beach
Collecting, until its shores are inhabitable, hardly even real

Ears are victims of callousness and ceaseless ire,
Brains are instigators
They let wicked thoughts permeate and conspire
Bearing hostility like irritable alligators

Prose can convert into poetry,
Bees can transform into birds
Insults can turn into flattery
Thoughts can transmute into selfish, ill-conceived words
