Lunar Lust

When all is naught
And hope is sought
Look up at the moon

The powerful being
Both knowing and seeing
Of a world of impending doom

It said, "turn back!"
Before it goes black
The warning did they heed?

Singing a sirens song
While they bang the gong
Enacting the deed

Basking in the moonlight
For as long as they might
Foolishness they have caught

Now hope is naught
And all is sought
look to the moon, do not
