When all is naught
And hope is sought
Look up at the moonThe powerful being
Both knowing and seeing
Of a world of impending doomIt said, "turn back!"
Before it goes black
The warning did they heed?Singing a sirens song
While they bang the gong
Enacting the deedBasking in the moonlight
For as long as they might
Foolishness they have caughtNow hope is naught
And all is sought
