The Abused Mate

~Chapter Four~

I sat there in shock unable to breath I felt his eyes on me but I ignored them "Well what are you waiting for accept him" my wolf yelled at me. "Summer I know you can feel the power radiating off of him too he's an alpha I'm not fit to be a luna" I whimpered. "It's your destiny" she whined. "No I can't do you know how badly I'll get beat if my dad smells another wolfs scent on me I probably wouldn't even survive the beating he'd put me through" I argued. "Look at him he thinks your going to reject him" my wolf whimpered.

I stole a side glance at my mate to see his eyes were full of sadness and his once straight posture has turned into a depressing slouch. "Okay I'll talk to him and explain that I'm not rejecting him but yet I'm not ready either he has to earn my trust you know how I am with males" I bargained with my wolf. I waited a while until she answered with "Okay" causing my heart rate to go back down to its normal rate.

I grabbed an index card out of my backpack and wrote on it " I'm not rejecting you but can we talk after class?" Then slid the note over onto his desk. I watched him read the note with a slight confusion but once he realized that I'm not rejecting him his eyes lit up with excitement causing my wolf to sigh with happiness. I brought my attention back to the board where Mr.Weiss had started the lesson.

The bell rang signaling class was over and I collected my things before walking out of the classroom with my mate trailing behind me. I walked outside and led him under the bleachers deciding that's a good place to talk. once he caught up with me he walked up to me with a huge grim spreading across his face "Before you say anything I just want to say that I've waited forever to meet my mate and I never expected her to be as beautiful and perfect as you" he said while nervously scratching the back of his neck.

"Thank you  nobody has ever told me that" I smiled feeling a blush creep up onto my cheeks causing me to look down. He walked over to me and went to lift my chin up causing me to flinch away from him once I looked up I saw pain in his eyes and I immediately felt bad for hurting him and went up and hugged him welcoming the tingles that exploded all over my body. "So anyways my name is September" I said while pulling away from the hug. "I'm Shawn Woods soon to be alpha of the Twilight  Woods pack" he said smiling with pride.

My eyes widened at the mention of the Twilight Woods pack they are the second most powerful pack in the U.S.A. "The reason that I brought you out here was to tell you that I'm not rejecting you but yet I also want to take things slow I'm not that comfortable around males" I confessed. I was expecting him to reject me on the spot right then and there but he just came and hugged me and whispered in my ear "Anything  for my beloved mate" causing shivers to run up my spine and my wolf to purr. "I September Sparks accept you shawn woods as my mate and alpha for eternity" I said with my hand over my heart showing that this was no joke.

He cleared his throat and in an authorative voice declares "I Shawn Woods soon to be alpha of the Twilight Woods pack accept you September Sparks as my mate and luna for eternity" My face broke out into a huge grin and I could feel the bond between us grow stronger the second we accepted eachother I was too in the moment to think about what my father will do when he finds out.
