"Look who finally decided to join us" Luke said as Annabelle and I approached them. None of them had a clue what was going on right now but with the glance I shared with Kia she was the first to put two and two together 
"Why do I feel like we've missed something?" Jess said motioning to Annabelle and I

Anna laid leant into my slightly while I had an arm wrapped around her, I told her I wasn't going to leave and I am prepared to stand by that 

"I don't know what you are on about" I replied making Jessica narrow her eyes at me, Anabelle did say a single word but I caught the small blush that flushed her cheeks making me smile 

"So what are the plans for tonight?" I asked trying to avoid anymore questions from the guys
"it's almost 8pm now, how about food?" Kia suggested making all us of boys nod instantly, when it comes to food.. We are always down for it 

After 30 minutes of driving off campus, we arrived at a beach dinner. One I had been to before, the last time I was here it was with Annabelle, it honestly was one of my favourite evenings

.Flashback.

"They said they would be here 10 minutes ago" I huffed making Annabelle roll her eyes at me
"Jake, I'm not having this argument again. Your sister has text both of us and our group chat that the traffic was bad, what else do you expect her to do" She asked making me narrow my eyes before poking my tongue out at her 

"Why don't we just order something small until they get here?" She suggested making me smile instantly 
Food is always a good idea

She rolled her eyes hitting me with the menu before glancing down at the sides 
The smile on her face was enough to make anyone around her smile honestly. It's been a long time since I've even felt this close to someone
But when I'm around Annabelle, there is something that takes over 

She looked up at me taken back a little before a smile crept onto her face making her blush a little after catching  my gaze 

I smirked slightly looking over at my milkshake before scooping a little cream off of it 
"Hey, A?" I called making her hum before she turned to look at me 

The moment she glanced at me, I tapped her nose leaving the cream on the tip of it making Annabelle pout as she crossed her eyes to look at the cream balancing 

I had enough time to grab my phone to take a quick picture before Annabelle grabbed a napkin wiping it

"what are you thinking about?" Annabelle asked sitting next to me in the same booth, I hummed in response glancing at her making her smile
"Nothing don't worry" I said making her shoot me one of her usual looks before returning to her conversation with Kia. 

I looked down at my phone allowing Face ID to unlock it revealing that same photo from that day, it's been my home screen ever since

4:00AM

"Get off of me!!" I heard someone piercing scream
"Leave me alone!" The same voice screamed making me jolt awake
"Toby let me go" Annabelle cried making me rush over to her bed without a second thought

"Anna" I whispered gently shaking her, the moment her eyes locked onto mine she screamed pushing me away
"It's me Jake" I reminded her making her do a double take before rushing back over quickly clinging to me as I held onto her tightly 
I picked her up carrying over over to my bed 

Something tells me that she needs someone tonight, but tomorrow. Toby you are dead mean 

"It's okay" i whispered kissing her forehead making her frown before looking at me
"I'm sorry I woke you" She said tearing up a little
"Hey hey" I said wiping the tear before she had the chance to let it fall

"I would wake up anytime just to make sure you were okay" I whispered making he smile softly before she cuddled up to me more laying against my chest
