Catching feelings I thought you threw
I was waiting for the day you'd
Maybe turn back and say 'Thank you'
I was watching and matchmaking
Helping your 1 become 2
I warily, quietly waited, hoping
For you to come back soon
I put you first, no second thoughts
Then I watched you fall in love
You were happy with your romance
As if it came on a dove
Now you're engaged and quite content
With the apple of your eye
And I wonder back to those days
Before romance, Where was I?
I was watching, I was waiting,
Yet, not making the first move
I was helping and matchmaking
When I didn't have much to lose
I helped you to find your love
Whilst I dearly longed for mine
I watched you falling in love,
But where the hell was I?
