Like a flood
In my soul
Like a hurricane
And I'm the boatDarkness flows
Unearthly, it glows
It ebbs and flows
A surreal wind blowsChilling tooth, nail, and bone
Down to the core
Cold sweat pours
My throat is soreInky tendrils hone
In on their prey
And I want to run
Far, far awayBut fear held me fast
In clutches and chains
Rooted in the past,
Blinded by painAnd now I lay
Asleep on my bed
But take a look
Inside of my headAnd you'll find a void
As "farewell," I bade
The smile on my face
My masqueradeSoon you'll see right through
My brave charade
As shadows ring true
In Death's Parade.
