"Look back where you had begun."

•••

As you will become a successful writer soon, do not forget who were there with you through thick and thin — the people who loved & appreciated your pieces, the people who taught and corrected you, the people who kept pushing you to reach the top, the people who served as your ears when nobody listened to your sentiments. Do not neglect them, rather show your heartfelt gratitude. Appreciate them. Treasure them. Keep them. Our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, reminds us through this proverb, "Those who will not look back at his beginning, cannot arrive to his destination."

Keep your feet on the ground, no matter how high you have attained. Do not be boastful.
