Child Help

****Sonny's POV****

"We have bad news."
Barba said
coming back from the court room

"What is it?"
I asked jumping up from my desk

Olivia came out of her office and Amanda came up next to me.

"The judge would not remand Travis Martinez especially because his title, his bond was $500,000 and he's already bragged about being out in less than an hour, he's already hollering to get his daughter back."
Barba said

"That...that can't happen can it?!"
I asked nervous

"No, I put in for there to be a restraining order where he can't be around Mia, it's still pending but it's hard to have a restraining order put in place when she's still a ward of the state and in a group facility, he can fight and very well possibly win supervised visits with her until he goes to trial"
Barba said

"That's not right at all, not at all."
I said getting angry

"Ok, well (Olivia took a deep breath and let it out) Sonny, Amanda, and I was on our way to take Mia to Child help. I guess we should probably tell her."
Olivia frowned

"She still isn't talking is she?"
Barba asked

"No, the kid has been so traumatized she won't say anything."
Olivia frowned

Barba took a deep breath and let it out

"I'll go check out the restraining order process."
Barba said

Olivia, Amanda, and I headed to the hospital

We got in and went up to the floor Mia was on
We got to her room and Mia was sitting on the edge of the bed with Dr Avery

She was starting to look better, her swollen eye was open some but still looked rough. Her hair had been braided into two ponytails and she had street clothes on.

"Oh Hi detectives, I was just finishing up Mia's paperwork."
Dr Avery got up from the bed

"Here's all her discharge paperwork, her upcoming appointments to get her nose splint off, cast off her arm, and sling. It'll be 3 weeks from this Friday, I know you'll be ready by then."
Dr Avery smiled at Mia

Mia smiled back

"Alright well thank you."
Olivia smiled taking the paperwork

"Are you ready to go to Child help?"
I smiled at Mia

Mia smiled and nodded yes as she got off the bed, holding onto her bear with her left arm across her chest and came over to us

We made our way to walk out the door of Mia's hospital room when we heard

"Sir you can't be here, SIR!"
A woman yelled

The officer outside of Mia's door looked like he was trying to push off someone

"I want my daughter back!"
A man yelled and I knew it was Travis

Travis darted into The doorway and Mia's face turned whiter than white, her mouth dropped and a few tears fell down her face

"Mia let's go!"
Travis yelled

I stood in front of her

"She's not going anywhere with you ever again!"
I said hateful

"She's my daughter!!"
Travis yelled

Two more officers came and pulled him out of the room and they took him away, I turned around and Mia was crying
