After our game of hide and clap Corey is 'locked' in the basement of the prison. He can get out but Elton put the lock on without locking it. After that we start to actually investigate.
We brake up into different groups. Brandon goes into the chair room on his own for 15 minutes. Corbin is going into a cell on his own, well Evan will be there so he's not completely on his own. Then Brandon will have to find Corbin after 15 minutes. Corey, Elton and I will be going to the most haunted part of the building, the attic. The reason there's 3 of us going is because 1, everyone is a little worried that I will either get hurt or be manipulated by the spirits and 2, almost contradicting number 1 they want to use my abilities to see if I can contact anything, but as safely as possible.
Once we we get into the attic I immediately feel nervous
"Something doesn't want us in here" I say holding on to Corey
"What makes you say that?" Elton asks
"Just a feeling in my gut"
"Tomorrow is a break for us and I may have found someone to help you tap into your abilities"
"So I won't just be able to feel spirits?"
"Well if that's ok with you. You will be able to see them and hear them"
"Oh shit" Corey says wide eyed
"Damn I mean I guess it will take practice but I'm down for this" we all sit down and Elton turns on a EVP while I have a K2
"Is there anyone here with us?" I asks
"Oh oh look. The K2 just flashed"
"If there's anyone in here can you give us some sort of sign?" we sit in silence for a minute or so nothing happens, but I can feel as if we aren't alone
"We've been told that..." Elton starts but Corey and I look at each other hearing a whistle
"Did you hear that?" Corey asks me and I nod my head
"I didn't..."
"Shhh" I cut my brother off and we listen and we can all hear the whistling
"It's whistling" I say
"No it sounds like a flute"
"You want to get the dousing rods out?" Elton asks Corey who agrees.
Corey picks the dousing rods up and asks
"If there is anyone in this room with us can you please.." before Corey finishes his sentence the rods cross together then they swing open
"If there anything you would like to tell us? my brother Elton has set up a little recorder so you can speak into that and later on we will be able to hear you"
"Did you die here?" Corey asks and the rods immediately cross together. My back begins to feel cold
"My back is frozen right now. Like someones got a bag of ice and placed it on my back"
"There no wind in here or anything to cause that" Corey says still holding the rods
"We we're told that this place was over capacity and they would bring people up here whether it was scolding hot or freezing cold, and that many people died up here"
"Is that true" Corey asks finishing Elton's sentence off and the rods cross
"Elton feel my back" I tell him. He places a hand on my back
"Fucking hell Thea. That's like touching ice"
"I told you"
"Can you please point these rods into the direction to where you are" the rods point to behind me
"Are you the one making my back cold?" they cross over
"Dude do you see that light? no way has it been 15 minutes and they're all done"
"Where are you looking?" I ask Elton who points
"Oh shit yeah it's like a flash light"
"No was is that Corbin and Brandon
"Why is there a light flashing?" Corey asks no one in particular
"You know what's weird, my back doesn't feel cold anymore"
"I just saw a shadow. I just saw a fucking shadow" Corey almost whispers
"Holy shit there's something moving past the door" I say wide eyed "Elton pass me the thermo meter. I want to see if we can see it on the screen"
"There's literally someone standing in the doorway" Corey whispers to me. I turn the thermo meter on and there's a cool patch by the door in the rough shape of a human
"There seriously someone stood at that door" Elton exclaims while not taking his eyes away "holy shit it's right there. There's no fucking way"
"Why is it just stood in the door way looking at us?" I ask
"It's like it's watching us" Elton says
"I can hear footsteps" I say just before we hear Elton's name be called by Corbin
"Yeah" Elton calls back and the boys walk threw the figure and towards us
"Oh my fucking god!" I yell
"What?" Corbin frowns when they reach us
"You just walked through a shadow figure"
"No we didn't"
"Yes you did" I argue to Brandon "I was literally there watching us and you all walking through it like it wasn't there"
"We didn't see anything" Corbin says still frowning.
Corbin and Brandon tell us what happened to them and then we tell them what happened up here to us
"Evan kill the lights and all of you just watch the door" Elton instructs
"If your down there at the end of the hall can you come say hi again" Corey asks and almost immediately the figure is back
"Do you see it?" I ask everyone
"What the..." Corbin starts
"Maybe we should us the rods again" i tell Corey who agrees. He picks the rods up and we start asking questions
"Our 3 other friends have come up here so if there's anything that they brought with them, can you make the rods..." before Corey finishes the rods point to Corbin
"Of course it would be me" the rods then point to Evan
"Evan was with Corbin" I say causing Corey to gasp
"No fucking way. So something came up from the jail cells"
"Anyone else feel super warm right now?" I say feeling like I'm sweating
"You've been freezing most of the time we've been up here and now your hot"
"Fuck sake, you know what cell I've been in? the one where someone burned themselves"
"Holy shit" Corey breathes out "can you touch that device in front of us" Corey asks referring to the REM pod. Nothing happens
"Dude, dude!" Brandon yells "the shadow is back" we all look
"It looks like it's peeking now. Like it's moved across but now it's peeking at us from behind the door" I say
"Don't want to scare any of you but we kinda got to go which means we have to walk past the shadow"
"Are you serious?" Corbin yells at Elton
"Yeah we seriously have to go"
"We should say goodbye" I say
"Yeah. Ready all together"
"Goodbye" we all say at the same time.
We turn a light on and gather our things and leave. In the car ride to our hotel room we listen to the EVP recording, but we don't hear anything. Once at our hotel Corey and I head up to our room and bunk down for the night.
