"Apparently I'm leading the party into the basement" Brandon tells the camera before opening the door "oh god. This is bad" we walk down the stairs into an empty basement other than a bench and notepad. We place the rem pod on one of the jutted out bricks
"If you want to talk to us down here make a sound like a knock or something and if you don't want us down here make the device here spike by touching it. Did it? I swear it just spiked to 2"
"I didn't see anything" I tell Corey. After not having much luck down here in the basement Elton decides we should go to our bedroom.
It's now 5am so thankfully this night it almost over. I sit down with the boys leaning on Corey, thankful Evan has joined us and is sat next to me
"Alright we have everyone sat down in the bedroom where the notepad was most full. Rem pod is in the door way"
"It's actually closest to Corey and Thea"
"Stop" Corey looks at Brandon
"So something can get to Corey and Thea before it gets to us"
"I'm really glad it's going to Thea and Corey first"
"Why Corbin. Why join in?" I frown at Corbin
"Guys come on. We're all in this together"
"We're all in this together, once we know that we are we're all stars and we see that" I sing in the tune of all in this together from high school musical. The rem pod starts going off and Corey leaves me and holds on to Elton
"Dude?!" I throw my arms up "he's not gonna protect you" Corey and Elton hold one another
"I'm not letting go of you" Corey tells Elton
"Fine. I'll hold on to Evan then" I scoot over to Evan and take his arm into mine
"No I'm sorry" Corey now scoots over to me and pulls me into him "ok. Is there anyone in this room with us?" Corey asks, but it's silent. I'm freezing cold right now
"If you want us to tell some jokes and have some fun can you touch the rem pod again" boom the rem pod goes crazy. All our faces are shocked. Elton holds on the Brandon
"I want to leave"
"No we have to tell jokes guys" Corey tells Corbin "can you stop?" the rem pod stops beeping
"Thea know any jokes?" Brandon asks
"Errr. Why did the skeleton go to the body shop?"
"Dunno" Brandon shrugs
"Because wait Damn it I told it wrong. It's why did the skeleton cross the road. To go to the body shop" the rem pod goes off again
"Why was 6 afraid of 7? because 7 8 9"
"Oh that's a good one" Corey laughs at Evan
"Ok so this one isn't towards you" the rem pod stops as Corey talks to it "this isn't towards you it's one of them ok. So if this funny make the rem pod go off. Ok yo mamma is so stupid she went to the dentist to get a blue tooth" the rem pod doesn't go off "it's not towards you. It's one of their mammas" then the demo pod beeps "ok this isn't towards you. Yo mamma so poor when she moved her furniture. All she had to do was kick a can" the rem pod doesn't go off
"They didn't like that one" I tell Corey
"Ok you might like this one it's about some deer. It's pretty funny. So 2 female deer are coming out a bar and they go wow I can't believe we just blew 100 bucks" I lower my head in shame at the joke "make it beep if you want another joke" it beeps
"I have one. Did you hear about the claustrophobic astronaut? he just needed a little space" I tell the group, but the rem pod doesn't go off
"They don't like your jokes" Elton tells me. Corey carries on telling more jokes and what's crazy is the rem pod beeps at the right times and stops after the jokes. It's crazy, but at least all of the this lighten ups the mood.
After the jokes and a few words on the ovilus we place the candle in front of the black mirror
"Oh that is terrifying"
"For Elton to say that..." Corbin shivers. While Corbin and Corey are talking I watch Elton frowning and moving his head while looking in the mirror
"The is going on" Elton says "someone else look in that mirror"
"No thanks" I sit back against the wall
"I'm not going to say what I saw. Someone else look in that mirror for a minutes straight" everyone refuses but Evan gets up and sits in front starring in the mirror. Evan then frowns
"The only thing I'm sceptical about when it comes to looking into mirrors is that there's scientific proof that your brain and eyes do change what you can see. Like it's a known thing that people hallucinate" I say to the group
"Someone else take a look" Evan moves away and Corbin takes his place
"I mean if we all see the same thing then I guess it's odd. Especially because we haven't told each other what we can see" I shrug but still not fully believing in the mirror. Corey goes next then is Brandon's turn
"Ok Thea your go"
"Fine" I groan at Elton and sit in front of the mirror. I stare at myself and watch myself turn into a corps. I start to feel lightheaded and like i might throw up. I turn away from the mirror and take in a deep breath. I place my hand over my mouth and quickly stand up, running to the bathroom to throw up in the toilet. Thankfully making it. When I return back I sit down avoiding myself in the mirror
"What just happened?" Corbin asks
"I just went super lightheaded and sick"
"Are you ok now?" Corey asks
"Not really"
"What did you guys see?" Brandon asks
"I'll count to 3 and all of you say as the same time. 1 2 3"
"Me as a corps" I say as Elton says
"My death" and Evan say
"Getting old and dying"
"I watched my whole face fad until it was all black"
"So I had blackness here" Evan shows where your face would sink in when you die like an actual Skeleton"
"I watched my skin droop and fall off" Elton says looking rather defeated"
"I'm still not sold on this because it could literally be your mind playing tricks on you"
"Even though you went lightheaded and threw up?" Elton looks at me
"Well yeah. The brain is a powerful thing" I shrug trying to see sense. Elton writes in the note pad telling our experience of tonight.
We all talk about what this all means for us. Like do we believe anymore than we already did.
Thankfully the night closes and we all seem confused like we need more answers.
Elton does his outtro to the video and we pack up.
When we leave I get into the back of the rental with Corey and Corbin. I rest my head on Corey's shoulder
"Do you still feel sick?"
"No not any more" I shake my head
"Just let me know if you do so I can pull over to let you throw up" Elton tells me
"I should be ok now. I think it was a combination of tiredness and hallucinations"
"If that's what they were" Elton mutters
"That's what they were Elton" I yawn "just hallucinations" I close my eyes as Elton starts driving away. The further we go the more relaxed I feel.
