A/N- It's my birthday, I'm now 18. I have been writing this book now for a year. Take weekly updates.

*Location- near Stark Tower*

-Third Person P.O.V-

School had just ended and Peter was making his way to the tower, his suit in his backpack. He knew most of the internship was actually just patrolling, but he also knew he needed to go and talk to Mr Stark about his suit.

School had been, well not great but not terrible. Before school he was able to avoid May- although he knows he'll pay for that tomorrow morning, or tonight if he's really unlucky- and he was also able to get Delmar's before school. Flash had been not so great, but better than normal. Flash had only hit him a few times, but that's better than normal.

He had a couple bruises on his face and stomach, but it was nothing he couldn't deal with. He didn't want Mr Stark looking at him strangely or not like him because it seemed like he was always getting into fights, so he knew he might need to try and avoid that, although then again he could just blame it all on patrol.

The tower slowly came into view and Peter watched as it rose high above the clouds, disappearing into the endless chasm of the sky. It still felt as yesterday was a whole dream, and if he were to walk in there, he would be turned away straight away.

The only reason he knew it was actually real, was the suit that rested heavy in his bag.

Cautiously, he walked up to the big revolving doors, and tentatively stepped in. As soon as he got in, his senses were assaulted from all angles, the sound coming from all around him almost sent him running out the door, but he knew he couldn't do that.

Peter paused for a moment, knowing he can't wait too long with the bustling nature all around him without getting in the way or causing any issues. He took a deep breath, making sure to try and push out all the unnecessary sounds from all around him. Once he had been able to do that, only now hearing the sounds from close to him he made his way towards the elevator.

His pass was gripped tightly in his hand, silent fear working its way into his veins as he thought about the prospect of losing it. Peter also couldn't help but be scared of actually going up to where Mr Stark was, after all, what if he had got the day wrong, what if he was too early or too late, what if Mr Stark didn't want him back, what if he was just like May, what if-

'Hello Mr Parker, would you like me to take you up to Mr Stark?' FRIDAY asked, snapping Peter from his anxious daze.

It turned out, when he was thinking about every possible outcome, he had made his way into the elevator without any thought.

"Um ugh- yes- yes please Miss FRIDAY, if that's- if that's okay," Peter stuttered out in fear.

'Of course it is Peter. It's lovely to see you again, and Boss seems happy to have you back,' FRIDAY chimed, making Peter's fear dwindle slightly, although not all the way.

As the doors closed and the elevator started to move upwards, Peter replied. "It's lovely to see you too."

A comfortable silence fell over the pair and Peter thought about everything that had been happening in his life recently. This morning he woke up with the picture of his Uncle still held tightly in his hands and dried tear tracks on his face. His whole life had been turned upside down, and yet, somehow some good was coming out of it. Well, he really hoped it would be good.

Because now, even though he lost the last person he really cares about, he was able to find someone who even though they weren't completely there, someone who he could look at as though they were family.
