Valt, Rantaro, Free, and Wakari were in Kris's office, waiting for her announcement. "We're counting on you. Your main mission is to show the level!" Said Kris sternly.

"Yes!" Valt and Rantaro exclaimed cheerfully.

"We'll show you who to be afraid of." said Rantaro with determination.

"Yes, we will!" Agreed Valt. Free and Wakari stood silently.

"Let's take a closer look at our opponents." Said Trad, and an image from his tablet appeared on the screen.

"Eh?" Valt and Rantaro looked at him perplexed.

"That's Top Wand." Said Trad. "Cuza Ackermann's bey Alter Cognate of the balanced type. He's worth a look."

"Taken and remembered." Said Rantaro.

"Wow." Said Valt, surprised.

A balanced type, then. Waki thought.

"Endowed with attack and resilience." Trad continued.

"But he won't be able to resist my bey, will he?" Asked Rantaro.

"Wait, is that fair?" Interjected Valt.

"I won't lie, there is cause for concern." Said Trad seriously.

"Good thing Roktavor has ultra-ultra endurance." Said Rantaro happily.

"And Valtryek has ultra ultra ultra attack!" Shouted Valt.

"And Roktavor has ultra ultra ultra ultra stamina!" Said Rantaro, trying to get past Valt. Wakari sighed rubbing her temples.

How noisy they are. Wakari thought. Free noticed Waki's movements.

"Finished?" Free asked indifferently. Valt and Rantaro looked at him apologetically.

"Thank you." Waki said to Free's silhouette. Free nodded to her.

"Alter Cognate is not predictable." Said Trad. "Which mode he chooses will not be clear until after launch."

"The victory is mine anyway." Free said confidently.

"I agree." Waki said with a nod. Valt and Rantaro looked at them perplexed.

"If that's all, we're leaving." Said Free taking Wakari's hand and leading her to the door.

"Wait." Trad tried to stop them, but they had already closed the door.

"Now he's going to criticize us even more." Waki said.

"It doesn't matter as long as we're winning." Said Free and yawned. "Let's go better to our room to sleep." Wakari sighed and shook her head.

Wakari was approaching the dining room when she heard a shout behind her. "Come back!" Shouted Valt.

"Is that Valt's voice?" Asked Waki and felt something rush past her and make the sound of flapping wings.

"Get him! Sorry Waki!" Said Valt and a blue silhouette whizzed past her.

What's going on in there? Wakari thought. Wakari watched as the blue silhouette disappeared into the darkness. There was a commotion in the dining room and Wakari could clearly hear Valt shouting.

"Catch the bird at her my bey!" Shouted Valt. Waki walked into the dining room sticking to the door and saw a blue silhouette galloping in the darkness trying to catch something.
