"She's been acting so weird." I sigh leaning against a beam.

"Just ask her what's wrong. It's not that wrong." Derek says.

"She never told me she loved me. It was just something I knew." I say.

He looks at me and smiles softly. "You look a lot like mom. I mean Talia." He says.

I look at him with a frown. "I don't remember our family but I have nightmares about the fire." I say softly.

He smiles at me. "Come on." He says walking into the train.

I follow him and he pulls out a box. "This is what I had in my apartment. And some are from the fire." He says opening it.

He steps aside and I look at the pictures. "This is Talia. And dad, with our sister. Cora and Laura. Everyone died except for you and Peter." He says softly.

I look at the picture and I indeed look like my mother. "Do you think she would've been upset about my baby's?" I ask in a whisper.

Derek shakes his head and I start crying. He hugs me tightly and kisses the top of my head. "She would've been so proud of you." He whispers as I sob in his chest.

The next day i spend in my bedroom until Lydia pulls me into Allison's. "Clear your schedule. This is gonna take a while." She says happily.

Allison smiles and gets out of her chair. "How many outfits do you plan on wearing tonight?" She asks.

Lydia takes out the dresses. "It's my birthday party. I'm thinking host dress, evening dress, then, mmm, after-hours casual." She says.

"I'm gonna get ready then." I smile.

"Ice! I got this one for you. Compliments the small baby bump." Lydia smiles handing me a dress.

I smile surprised she has noticed my growing baby bump

I smile surprised she has noticed my growing baby bump. "Happy birthday." I say kissing her cheeks.

She smiles and hugs me tightly. "Thank you." She says.

I leave the room and go to my own. I take a shower washing my hair and body. There's a knock on the door as I'm drying off.

"Ice? Can we talk for a minute?" Mom asks.

"I'm busy." I say.

"Just a minute." She urges.

"Mom! Seriously! I'm freaking busy! We'll talk tonight after the party!" I yell angry.

"Okay, I'll see you tonight." She says with a raw voice.

I sigh and do my makeup and hair. I get dressed and put on a black panty with a black blazer and red fitting heels.

I go with Allison to Lydia's house and she stops in front of the house. "For Lydia." I smile softly as I hold out my hand.

"For Lydia." She sighs.

I jump as some teens run to the house. "Party!" A guy yells excited.

We laugh about him and then go in. I sigh and look at the dead party. I sit around the pool for almost the whole night and watch people get drunk on Lydia's punch.

Eventually I sigh and get up. "Hey." Stiles says behind me.

"Hey." I say with a smile turning to him.

"So, I was wondering if..." he suddenly stops and stares into nothingness.

"Stiles..." I say waving my hand in front of his face.

"Alice! Alice! We...we need to go. Mom, she... we need to go." Allison says almost crying.

I frown. "What's wrong?" I ask grabbing her hand.

"Moms dead." She says.

I stop breathing as the time seems to stop. "What?" I ask as tears form in my eyes.

Allison takes a few deep breaths. "Moms gone. We have to go to the hospital." She says almost crying.

She grabs my hand and drags me to her car. She starts driving to the hospital and I look out the window biting my nails.

We arrive at the hospital and we get out both crying. We get in the elevator and I start sobbing hard. She grabs my hand and the elevator opens as she wipes away her tears.

Dad looks up at us and she walks over to him telling him to stop lying. I look at the body in the room behind him that's under a blue sheet.

I try to open the door and start crying harder. "Open the door!" I yell crying hard.

Dad and Allison look at me. "Open the fucking door! Open the door! She's not gone! She can't...she wouldn't just leave us! Open the door!" I yell as I start hitting the door with my hands.

"Alice..." dad says walking over to me.

"No!" I yell turning to him and pointing my finger in his face.

"I'm sorry." He says also crying.

"No! She's not dead! She's not gone! She would never leave us! She wouldn't leave me! She promised! Mom..." I put my head against the door sobbing.

"Alice. I'm so, so sorry." Dad says hugging me.

I put my face in his neck. "I can't lose another mom." I sob on his shoulder.

He rubs my back and I cry on his shoulder. "I'm sorry." He keeps repeating.
