"Are you mad ? You just left from there like that ? " Jessica shouted at the idiot
in front of her
"What else would have i done ?  Stand there and watch her in some other man's arms ? Or get my heart broken listen to her choose anything else over me . " He shouted frustrsted
" I am done Jessica. I tired of all this. All this while i tried understanding her , did as she wanted. But what did i get in return? Don't i deserve all the love that i have given her back,Even 50 % of it ?  She's way too into her insecurities  to see she is hurting me . And i can't continue lile this. I don't want to be the only person putting efforts in the relation again. It happened with Anushka too , and you did see how bitterly it ended. This was bound to happen , today or later. " He let out , his voice shaking . Jessica's eyes softened looking at him and she ran a comforting hand over his back

" You guys broke up ? Finally ? " Pra exclaimed and she glared at him keeping the mug of coffee aside.
" I mean do i get more of you now ? " He asked like a baby and she sighed
" Prat- "
" Sorry. You can't blame me for wanting time with my sister. I barely see you , and whenever you are free , you were with him." He complained
" Sorry , I promise i'll make sure to take out time with you " She said tiredly. Pratik nodded and went to his room
Teja sighed and let her hands cover her face. Wiping it to wipe any agony that was visible . She didn't show it but she was miserable. She missed him. It had been a week and there was no sign of him. Was his ego so big ? That he wouldn't take the question back ?  He just vanished . She knew she was also at fault , she ran away from confrontation ,but was it so importatnt
for him that he broke up just like that ?
" Chocolate ?" She raised her head to look at pratik and then the chocolate in his hands
" Thanks " She smiled a little and took it from his hands
" you okay?"
" Ofcourse. What would happen to me?"
She shrugged nonchalantly opening the chocolate
" You just broke with that Karan . As much as i didn't like him , i know you loved him very much . He is the first guy you have introduced to me and let come close to both of us " He said softly looking at her seriously
" I remember everytime i used to ask you to make me meet any of your friends or boyfriends , you used to deny ......... You always  wanted to be sure if they are going to stick around us enough , and then make me meet them , so that i don't get attached to them and be hurt if they leave us " He said and she looked at him surprised  . How did he know ? She never told him her reasons. " Just like mumma , papa did " He added in a warm voice , A hint of moisture in his eyes. She sniffed a little at his words .
" Turns out you are no longer a kid running around the house ,crying because i didn't buy you ice-cream" She chuckled trying to hide her tears and emotions
" Hey ! It was just one time " He shouted defensively
" Yeah right. Or that one time when you  wore your undies over your pants beacuse you thought you were a superman . "
" Teja. Shut up ." He blushed a deep shade of red feeling embarrassed  and she pinched his cheeks
" Better go from here " He ran inside muttering curses to her.
Her smile slowly dropped as  he left and his face resurfaced in her mind

" Oh , I am sorry " Karan heard him say and unclenched his fingers .

" Mr Karan ?"

" Shaurya . How were you ? " Karan asksd politely

" I am good. I heard about your case. I hope it's going good ? " Shaurya asked and Karan nodded gritting his teeth

" It is. I hope the decision's in our favour ."
