"Look 3'o clock to your left, there he is," Naoto spoke through the receiver in your ear. There was this falling feeling in your chest, it was unusual and you felt nervous about the whole ordeal

You looked at the black-haired man, seemingly quiet and away; his suit and body language did little to conceal him if that was what he wanted. He was returning from praying you believed.

He could pray all he wanted, but all those sins he committed could never be washed away by simply begging to god (if there was any.)

If there was a god who listened, he wouldn't have killed all those people, what's the point of punishing someone after death, when people like him sit around and play the devil's advocate? Making life, for innocent people like you and the families of all those they killed, worse than death.

"Good luck," Naoto said, "I will be at my position."

"Alright," you fixed your hair and took a deep breath, walking towards him you cleared your throat a bit.

He was busy looking somewhere else, so you lightly poked his shoulder.

He turned towards you, a ginormous man with high muscle strength and a scar that adorned his face, "how may I help you?"

Your voice was caught in your throat, with the most foreigner-English accent you could speak, you spoke with broken Japanese, "could you...tell me where Yayogi park is?'

He blinked at you repeatedly and replied in full-fledged English, "It's a twelve-minute walk from here, are you a tourist?"

"Yes," you answered in Japanese hoping he would understand that you understood a 'bit' of the language.

"Do you know the way?" he asked in English again.

"I don't," you answered, "if you could just tell me the directions..."

"I will walk you there, "he replied, "if you have no problems that is, the area is not very safe."

"That would be great, my boyfriend is just a little bit ahead."

He nodded and started walking, for the first few minutes it was extremely quiet and awkward, you felt like a walking Tobiuo* fish.

"Where are you from?" he asked.

"Uhm- I am sorry?" you said as if not understanding what he said, but you were just buying some time.

"Where are you from?"

"New York, my parents were Japanese, but I was raised in America, you?"

He nodded a bit, "Shinjuku itself."

You had memorized all the routes, but the route he was taking you to was on no map, your skin was tingling with panic.

"Excuse me, why are we going away from cr-" you were pinned against an alley wall, gasping for breath. You clawed on his arm that was blocking your oxygen supply, as you tried to hit your knee to his groin he held your knee with his other hand and you lost your balance and fell on the dirt-laden ground.

"Could have almost fooled me there," he said.

"What are you talking about?" you still continued with your act, "I will call the police on you!"

"Look at you," he smirked, "speaking Japanese perfectly now...is it the fear acting by itself?"

You whimpered, trying to free yourself from his grasp, but he had you pinned by your shoulders. You squirmed like a fish out of water. Kakucho pulled his gun from his waist and placed it above your forehead. The cold metal sent shivers to your body, gasps of fear leaving your mouth.

"Tell me, who sent you?" You pursed your lips in a thin line, closing your eyes and not speaking further. You knew even if you died, you can't let Naoto in danger, a police officer who worked for the welfare of everyone.

"Not speaking, that's fine; I'll just take you to Sanzu, bet he can get words out of that dumb little mouth of yours." He tapped the barrel on your lips and grabbed you by your hand, pulling you up. It was a clear opening, you could have run, but chose to obey; he would take you to Sanzu. You could perhaps get something out.

He called a well-built man, until then he kept his grip on your hand firm. By the pressure he was applying on your wrist, you were sure he could feel the erratic pulse running through your veins.

After the man, who looked like a typical club bouncer, arrived; he threw you over his shoulder like you were some sack of rice to be traded.

"Y/N," Naoto said through the earpiece, his voice sounding a little harsher, a little more panicky than he had intended, but you knew he was doing his best to not make you panic ay further than you already are, "I have a drone that's capturing wherever you are going, stay calm and don't try to run or reply to me. I will be there soon."

You did your best not to look up at the drone that was supposedly flying over your head. You let him drag you into the depths of a labyrinth of byroads between buildings. A sort of network only criminals or rats knew. Oh wait, you used a tautology there, rats and criminals are after all the same things.

It was an impasse gully, walls towering on both sides you couldn't help but feel claustrophobic, you saw a faint glimmer of light and before you could even feel it, you were thrown in a dark car.

"Why go this far?" you couldn't help but ask, trying your best to stabilize your quivering voice.

"Number one, we need to get rid of any threats to Bonten. Number two-" he tapped on your cheek with a carrom striking motion, "Ran can probably sell you for a good price." You grit your teeth in frustration, tears were pooling in your eyes, and you could only think of the worst scenarios.

What if Naoto never came? What if they kill you? What if they sell you as a slave?

You were pulled to some abandoned building. Wasn't Bonten's headquarter supposed to be sumptuous and lavish?

"Wondering if this filth is Bonten's headquarters?" he asked after reading your expression, "yes and no. Bonten's real headquarter is Mikey's office; it's small so no one can ever know where it is. The members, however, never work at the same place, that is like inviting people for  a coup d'état."

Your breath was caught in your throat. You and Naoto had walked right into their traps. Your palms were sweaty and you were counting your saints.

"We are in Sanzu's current territory, just obey whatever he says and you will be good, "he smiled. What a sadist.

"Oh," a pink-haired man with scars on the side of his lips said, "well Kaku-chan, looks like you got me a gift." He smiled madly, eyes piercing your soul. Sick! That's what you could think, this man was fucking psycho.

You could only hope Naoto would come soon.
