RECAP

"Jon. I'm sorry, I didn't mean-"

"You didn't mean to what?! You sat there like a complete gossip telling them everything. So please, enlighten me, what didn't you mean to do?!" I scream at him. I'm losing control. Fuck. Get it together. Dad noticed and pushed us away from each other, he put a hand on my shoulder but I shrugged it off. But Jordan says something that just makes me even more angry, and I lose control.

"Well, I wouldn't have had too, if you hadn't turned into a druggie and started taking drugs in the first place!" He screams at me, it's very clear he's also losing control.

"What the hell did you just say to me!" I demand in a tone so demanding it makes me shiver. But that's not the worst part. The worst part is that I lost control and my eyes flash Blue. My eyes turn blue whenever I use my telepathic powers. As fast as my eyes turn blue they turn back to their greenish hazel color and I quickly turn around trying to cover my eyes as if it would fix anything.

"Jonathan... What was that?" My dad asks, shocked.

Jonathan's POV

'Fuck! What the hell am I going to do? Think Jonathan, think!'

"Jonathan!" I turn around to face them.

"What?" I asked. I guess I'm gonna play stupid.

"Jonathan, do you have powers..?" Jordan asks quietly. I give him a sharp glance which quickly silences him. I'm still incredibly pissed at him. I'm about to step up to him and continue the argument but my dad's sharp voice interrupts me.

"Jonathan! Answer him, NOW!" I flinch at my dad's loud voice and I fight back a whimper that gets caught in my throat. Shit, I can't do this. At that moment an absolutely horrible idea came into my mind. I'll just alter their memories.

I take a deep breath and close my eyes for a second trying to focus. When I open my eyes again I know they're glowing a dark blue again. A blueish green energy starts to emerge from my hands moving up towards my shoulders.

A familiar memory of me practicing my powers on the "subjects" for Edge came into my mind, but just as fast I pushed it back down. I hear my family gasp but I ignore them. I don't listen to their thoughts knowing they probably just think I'm some sort of freak now.

"I'm Sorry." I whisper to them. I bring my hands closer together. I bring the energy from both my hands and focus it almost creating a ball shape with the energy. I'm about to go into their minds, but dad senses something is wrong and he uses his speed to try to come near me. He's fast, but Edge taught me how to be faster than those with powers.

Involuntarily my hands form a sort of cross in front of me and I use my shield. Dad gets pushed back and not only can I see his confusion, but his thoughts are so loud. I have to do this quickly before he puts two and two together. He's already thinking about the tale of Nal-Ro. Jordan looks at me with fear in his eyes before running to stand in front of mom protectively.

I try to ignore the pang of guilt that hits me but looking at my dad who seems betrayed and confused, Jordan who seems afraid of me, and Mom who refuses to take her eyes off of my hands that are radiating power. I realize I can't do it. I have to get out of here.

I let my arms fall to my side and my hands balled into fists, I decided where I wanted to go.

"Jonathan! WAIT ST-!" Dad starts but it's too late. When I open my eyes again I see I'm in front of an old small white house. Before I knock on the door I activate my shield so my dad can't track me.
