The forest was silent. . .

The elves were gathered around a single spot, awaiting answers. . .

For weeks, the entire elven forest had been excited as the elder elf spoke of a child who would bring prosperity to the forest, but as the child was born, people began speculating the elder elf's words. . .

The child was born healthy, but on the night of his birth, his mother, and the healers taking care of her and the child, all met their end by brutal means, the elves soon realized the child was to blame

As days passed, anyone who gave the child even the slightest touch would meet a deadly fate, it only worsened as strange markings littered the child's skin, so the child was quickly placed in a closed off room of the elven castle to protect the other elves

This day was the only day the child was allowed outside, he was to be examined by a mage healer, who was already looking over the sleeping child, the elven queen, Eleanora, stepped up, her hands in a prayer position as she asked the healer, "is it as we feared?"

The healer sighed, standing up as he adjusted his glasses, "I'm afraid so. . . This child is indeed cursed" he said sollumly, angering the elven king, Uso No, "There has to be a mistake! The wise elf-"

"-Lied to you apparently" the healer interrupted, shameing the wise elf, who didn't even bother to show himself, "you dare disrespect the elder elf? My grandfather?" Eleanora asked, offended, "unfortunately yes, your grandfather spoke of this child bringing prosperity, but it will only bring death, so I give you my condolences"

The mage then packed up his things and walkedpast the two royals, whispering, "if you truly want prosperity, I advise you to get rid of that. . .thing. . ."

. . .

The elder elf sat in his study, reading a fascinating book titled 'The Cruel King's Kindness For His Bride' but the elf was quickly interrupted as Uso No burst open the wooden door with an angered look

Taking a sip of his tea, the elder elf greeted his king "Ah your highness! If I had known I would be graced with your presence I would have dressed nicer!" the elf laughed at his own joke, finding it funny when Uso No slammed his hands on the desk by the elder elf

"Kureijī you dare lie to your king and queen!?!?!?" the king shouted, he didn't seem amused by the elder elf's joke, "alright you got me, I still would have dressed the same"

The King groaned at the elder's antics, completely done with him, "no! You basterd! I'm talking about the child!" he yelled, knocking books over in his anger, the elder elf sighed and sat his book and tea down, knowing this would happen

"Your majesty, you said the child could bring prosperity, I said the child would be what we've been waiting for all this time, you have no one to blame but yourself" the elder explained

Uso No, stomped his foot, frustrated, "that is what we've been waiting for! Someone to help regrow the forest since the war! Is that not what you meant?" Uso No yelled, getting in the taller elf's face "I don't know what my vision meant, all I saw is that the child will be what we've all been waiting for, do not put words in my-"

The two elves were interrupted as a loud blood curdling shriek erupted from outside the study, the king looked in fear, recognizing the scream, "Eleanora. . . Eleanora!!!" Uso No ran out of the study, racing down the halls until he reached a painted door, which was now broken down

The door now broke, revealing a room, where the child was sleeping in his crib, and where queen Eleanora, lay breathless on the wooden floors, King Uso No ran to the queen's lifeless body and yelled for her to be ok, but it was too late for Eleanora. . .

Gasping as the king yelled, the elder elf kept his shocked expression hidden and rested his hand on the king's shoulder, trying to console him, but the king retracted, furious at the situation

"Kureijī. . . as your king. . . I am ordering you to leave and never come back. . . not until you find a way to fix this mess. . . or else. . . I will kill you myself. . . understand?"

". . . Y-yes. . . your majesty. . ."
