As soon as your bags were gathered and some food was prepared for the trip, you all took off in Haneul and Junghyun's van. You sat in the back with Jungkook and Aera, listening to them talk.

Jungkook was deeply indulged in a conversation with his brother and sister-in-law, leaving you a bit bored and lonely. But you didn't complain or feel like complaining.

It had been a while since he had seen his brother or even spoken to him properly for more than 5 minutes, so you didn't want to bother them. You glanced at Aera and noticed she was watching a cartoon while drinking some juice from her baby bottle, making you smile.

"만화가 재미있나요? (Is the cartoon interesting?)" You asked softly, Aera's head turning to look at you and nodding shyly. "그것은 무엇에 관한 것입니까? (What is it about?)" You asked after.

She put her bottle away and looked at you again, smiling cutely. "금지된 사원을 탐험하다가 길을 잃은 가족을 집으로 데려올 수 있는 마법의 수정을 찾아 버려진 장소를 탐험하는 소녀와 소년의 이야기입니다. (It's about two kids, a girl, and a boy, that explore abandoned places in search of magical crystals that can bring them back home to their family because they got lost when exploring a forbidden temple.)" She explained.

You hummed and nodded, intrigued by the story yourself. "꽤 흥미롭게 들립니다. 제가 봐도 될까요? (It sounds pretty interesting, do you mind if I watch?)" You said in response, her eyes widening and beginning to sparkle at that. She nodded eagerly and moved the tablet closer to you so you could watch as well.

You began watching the cartoon, leaning closer to the little girl who took your hand and leaned into your embrace, yawning softly. You wrapped your arm around her and let her rest her head on your chest, allowing her to hold your hand while you caressed her hair with the other one.

You smiled at how adorable she was, kissing the top of her head. You didn't realize that Jungkook had his eyes on you the entire time, a loving smile on his lips as he stared at you with loving eyes, the sparkle in them unique and profound.

He knew you would be a wonderful mother one day and all he prayed was that it would be of his children. He continued talking to his brother but his eyes stayed glued to you, noticing how you kept glancing down at Aera as the girl drifted off to sleep slowly, finding comfort in your embrace.

He wasn't surprised though. Even he would be able to fall asleep just as easily if you hugged him like that.

The rest of the trip was quiet. Haneul spent the rest of the trip asleep, Jungkook took a 30-minute nap once he was done talking to Junghyun, and you had turned the tablet off and continued to hold Aera, taking a small nap yourself.

Once you had reached, you were still asleep with Aera in your arms, feeling Jungkook's hand gently caress your head while softly calling your name. "Y/n, baby..." He said sweetly, placing a kiss on your head.

You hummed, lifting your head sleepily to look at him, eyes barely open. "We are here." He said with a loving smile. Haneul took care of picking Aera out of the chair once you pulled away, giving Jungkook a soft smile when you leaned into his arms sleepily.

"Do you want me to carry you to my room? You can meet my mom and dad later." He whispered softly, caressing your back sweetly and soothingly. You shook your head as you leaned your chin on his shoulders, eyes closed and lips pouted as you sighed.

"No, I'll be good in a second." You said sleepily. You felt like drifting off in his arms, exhaustion hitting you out of nowhere. Jungkook saw and felt that, knowing you barely slept the previous night when you were leaving for the trip the next day.

You spent the night feeling anxious and nervous, having just a few hours of sleep which were the worst, twisted dreams making you feel exhausted in the morning. He carefully got out and picked you up bridal style, glancing at the separate house where his room was, apart from the main house where his parents were.

"Hyung, I will take her to my room to sleep a bit more." He said softly, hugging you close. "Okay, let me help you by bringing the bags to your room," Junghyun said, taking your two bags and Jungkook's two bags. The two males then headed to Jungkook's room, where you and he would be staying in for the next 2 weeks.

When he walked into the room, he carefully laid you down on the bed and smiled at you, kissing your forehead before pulling the duvet over your body carefully, wanting you to stay warm. You snuggled into the bed and hugged the duvet closer, sighing tiredly. "She really must be tired," Junghyun whispered when Jungkook headed to the door, Junghyun placing the bags down.

"Yeah, she barely slept the night before we were going to come here. She was really anxious and stayed awake almost all night." Jungkook said with a sigh. "Why don't you stay with her? I'll tell mom and dad about it." Junghyun suggested but Jungkook instantly shook his head, smiling at his brother.

"It's okay, hyung. I want to see mom and dad first and then I'll come here to her." He said softly. Junghyun and Jungkook then headed to the main house, making sure to close the door to the room where you were sleeping peacefully.

[ I won't be translating the whole thing so let's just imagine they are speaking Korean lol ]

"Eomma," Jungkook said with a bright and wide smile as he walked into the main house, his eyes instantly falling upon his mother's figure that was in the kitchen preparing coffee. "Jungkook, my beautiful son." She said with a wide smile, quickly heading to him and hugging him close.

"How much I've missed you..." She said with a happy sigh, caressing her boy's hair sweetly. "Where is my daughter-in-law?" She asked softly, looking behind Jungkook and glancing at Junghyun. "I'm right here, Eomma," Haneul said with a frown, a playful frown since she already knew what else she meant.

Jungkook's mother chuckled and shook her head, turning to Jungkook with a grin on her lips, "I meant my future daughter-in-law." She said, Jungkook's cheeks turning red as he blushed. "Eomma, stop..." He whined softly, pouting his lips while his mother ruffled his hair playfully.

"Aigoo, look at the shy boy." She said with a chuckle. "She is sleeping, eomma. She had a rough night, not being able to sleep because she was anxious about today, so she is sleeping in Jungkook's bedroom right now." Junghyun explained instead, heading to sit beside Haneul on the couch in the living room area.

Jungkook and their mom followed after, Jungkook heading to greet his father who was there. "Well, let the poor girl rest. I was just as anxious when your mother asked me to meet your grandparents." Jungkook's dad said instead, smiling at Jungkook and patting his back.

"Let's spend time together now. We'll meet her later." He added. Their mother went to the kitchen and brought them their coffees, indulging in small talk that was mostly filled with questions about what you worked as and how you and Jungkook got together, the entire family way too curious.
