He grasps hers firmly in his, careful to not mess up any of the Iv's or wires attached to Willa's hand. Jasper caresses the top of her knuckles with his thumb, willing the tears to not make their presence known.

Is there only one chapter left after this? Has the time for these characters come to an end? There's an end to every story, but that never means the story ends, it's only what's visible to our eyes and our ears. There will always be a Willa and a Jasper living their best life after now, in our minds.
