That One Night Stand

CHAPTER 4

A few weeks after what happened, I move forward to face the present. I realized I should not still look for it and just go on. Never in three weeks, it does mention in our conversations at wala din akong balak na ipaalam sa parents ko. It's a mistake yes, but I forgot about it.

"Tara na manong" tawag ko sa atensiyon ng family driver namin na naghihintay lang sa may garage. Pinagbuksan niya muna ako ng pintuan bago umikot at sumakay. The ride wasn't that long and it was just half of hour to reach the NAA. Maaga kaming dumating kaya wala pa sina mommy, naghintay nalang kami.

"Mommy! Daddy! Dito!" I shouted to my parents to get their attention as soon as I saw my parents approaching the entrance.

"Welcome back Mom, and Dad" I hug and kissed both of their cheeks to greet them. So as they are.

"Thank you, anak"

We decided to drop off at one of the restaurants na madadaanan namin papawi to eat dinner. We talked about how they going out of the country, how their partnership with someone, tinanong pa nila ako kung ano ang mga ginagawa ko ng wala sila pero syempre I don't tell them what stupidity I've done.

I am guilty. Again.

"Mom, Dad una na'ko!" Papaalam ko sa mga magulang ko ng makababa ako galing sa taas.

"Eat your breakfast!"

"Sa cafeteria nalang po, I'm going to be late"

"Okay. Take care"

"Pakilagay nalang yan dito. Salamat" I told the freshmen to put the box of decorations on the floor. School Supreme Government or not, everyone was busy preparing for the upcoming graduations. Kani-kaniyang preparation ng task na naka-assign in every year level, and since I'm one of the graduating students I was assigned to do the designing of the gymnasium kasama ang ibang mga buildings.

Sa buong araw kahit saglit ay hindi ko nakita ang tatlo, alam kong busy din yon. It was my routine for the whole week, papasok ng maaga at uuwi ng late. I didn't get a chance to rest, 'cause the moment we've done preparing for the graduation in the next three days. Minsan ayaw ko nang bumangon ng kama dahil sa pagod, at kahit na masakit na ang katawan ko at gusto ko nalang humilata sa kama at matulog pero hindi pwede. I have to make this perfect. I want to make my parents proud.

Malaki ang ngiti kong naglakad papasok ng rooftop dahil may usapan kaming apat na dito mag-lu-lunch. Also, the teachers gave us a 2 hours break to rest, it's too short but I guess it's better than none.

"Wala pa ang dalawa?" I ask Chantalle and put my back on the vacant sit. Their bags were also there. Umupo lang ako at hinilot ang sintido.

"They're here lately, pero bumaba para bumili ng foods" I closed my eyes but I feel her staring at me.

"Anyare sayo?"

"I didn't get a better sleep since I always got home late and woke up so early"

"Wow ha! Grabe nayan! Ano yan OT ganon?!" Nakakunot ang noo niya ng tingnan ko. She was looking into her tho and seem so busy.

"Pa-good shot lang hehehe madagdagan man lang ng konti yung grades ko HAHAHA" she shook her head and chuckles.

"Grabeng diskarte beh! Paturo ako!"
