That One Night Stand

CHAPTER 10

"Mia, what's my schedule for today?" Pagtatanong ko sa sekretarya ko. I again signing papers and reading the papers of those applicants who applied yesterday and now.

"Lunch meeting with the investor I was talking about yesterday Miss Heav" I give her a nod and smile.

Lumipas ang ilang oras at 11 AM na, 12 was my kids class dismissal. I pick up my phone under the table to call one of the girls to pick-up the twins, since I can't make it.

"Hey, can you pick the twins in their school? I can't make it because I still have a meeting to take.... Yes. Yes, please. Thank you Tally" I said as soon as Chantalle answer my call.
"Thank you, Mia. Don't forget my coffee please" the last thing I ordered before dismissing her. I feel her as she bowed, the usual gesture she always does.

I start retouching my makeup, and change my office attire into dress that is still formal. Preparing myself takes half of an hour, and THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I MAKE MYSELF LIKE THIS! Hindi ko maintindihan ang sarili ko kung bakit pa ako gumastos para lang bumili ng dress, at kung bakit ko pa kailangang mag-makeup. Hindi ko din naiintidahan ang kaba na nararamdaman ko, this is not my first time to meet a big investor dahil sanay na naman ako pero ang hindi maintindihan ay kung bakit ako nagkakaganito...

I looked myself in the mirror inside the bathroom to check myself again if I look presentable. Saktong paglabas ko ay nandoon si Mia para siguro ipaalala sa akin. Her lips parted in shocked. Nangunot ang noo sa inakto niya.

"Miss Heav, Ikaw bayan?" She ask without even blinking, I cover my mouth with my hand and giggled. I walked towards my table to get my bag and another things.

I hold her shoulder as I walked behind her. "Ako to, Mia. If you're here to remind me, there is no need. Mauuna na ako Mia, also just go home when do you want I'll go straight home once the meeting is over. Bye, Mia" I don't wait  for her answer at lumabas na.

I drive to the restaurant where the meeting will be held. A waitress welcome me with smile and escort me to the table. We stopped in front of a VIP room. She also open the door for me.

"Thank you"

"You're welcome Ma'am. Enjoy your lunch and enjoy your stay" She smiled and bowed before going back.

My hand start sweating cold and my heart beats so fast as they were in a race. Every sounds fade away and as my heartbeat is only what I hear. Nanginginig ang mga paa sa bawat hakbang ko patungo sa isang rebulto ng taong prenteng naka-upo.

I was a meter of distance with him but I already smell his manly scent, his scent cover the whole room. My eyes darted in it's firm back, and if I'm not wrong that guy must be regularly does his exercise in gym.

Tila napansin niya ang pagpasok ko, tumayo ito at lumingon sa akin. I made it my way towards him with my eyes meet his. Nang nasa harap ko na siya ay kinakailangan ko pang tumingala dahil sa mataas niyang tindig. Mataas ako kung tutuusin pero hanggang balikat niya lang ako.

Everything fade away and he is the only one I see. If only gods can turned into mortals, I will say he's one of them. Because he is the real definition of a Greek God, the well defined jaw line, his pointed nose, the well clean thick brows, mahahabang pilik mata, the heart shaped kissable lips, ang buhok niyang bumagay sa kanya and lastly..... His blue eyes.

Ang buong akala ko ay isang investor na may edad na ang makaka-meeting ko..... But I don't expect to have an investor as handsome and hot as him!

Hulog bato ng langit?! Is he even for real?!

"Stop drawling woman and close your mouth"  matigas na aniya na nagpabalik sa akin sa katinuan. Am I really drawling? Lumingon ako sa ibang direksyon para itago ang hiya.

"I am Clyde Ace Scott the BIG investor for your company" He extended his hands for a shake hands, nag-alinlangan pa ako kung tatanggapin ko ba o hindi.

I accept his hands. "Shekaila Heavly Stanford, the company's CEO" lakas-loob kong sabi ng hindi nauutal.

"Please, have a seat Miss Stanford" naglakad siya patungo sa upuan na bakante at binuhat iyon para makaupo ako ng maayos. A gentleman indeed.

"Shall we start?" I start sharing some information about my company but not the confedential one. He will just nod to me as a reply to my words.

"Ahm... I heard a lot about your company and it is quiet big and influencial, now I wonder why you want to invest in my company that not in the same stage as yours?" I asked.

Napadako ang paningin ko sa labi niya ng kagatin niya ang pang-ibabang labi. It is seductive and tempting. I wonder what does it taste like? TF with me!?

" Why don't we eat first?" He said. It was like an alarm for me since I've been starving since the start of meeting, dumagdag pa ang mapang-akit niyang paraan sa pagkagat sa labi niya, maybe it's a normal for him but  I swear for those who will be in the same shoes as mine they would definitely feel it too. Sino ang hindi gugutumin kung ganito kagwapong nilalang ang makakasama mo sa isang kwarto?

Kanina pang nai-served ang pagkain kaya pwede na kaming kumain. Only the sounds of utensils is what I heard. Nakayuko lang ako habang kumakain.

Hindi man ako nakatingin mismo sa harap pero random ko ang titig niya, and it's making me conscious and uncomfortable. Biglang nawala ang gutom na nararamdaman ko at parang sa ilang subo lang ay busog na kaagad ako.

"So, again Mister Scott why my company aside from others?" I firmly asked. He look directly into my eyes and it meets mine. Nakakatunaw ang titig niya, naka-upo ako pero feeling ko ay ano mang oras ay manghihina ang tuhod ko dahil sa titig na ginawad niya.

"Simple, I want to be part of your company. And I want to be part of your life"  he said. Naging pabulong ang huling sinabi niya kaya wala akong naiintidahan pero sapat na ang unang salitang sinabi niya para tanggappin ko siya.

But one thing is for sure..... His last words makes me feel nervous.
