It was the middle of the night everyone was sleeping. Cross was thrashing in his sleep, bubbles forming all around him. He bolted up and panted heavily. He slowly calmed down.
"Why are you up?" A voice called from behind him. He turned around to find his boyfriend Nightmare sitting up.
Cross remained silent.
"Nightmare?" His boyfriend chuckled. He crawled over with his tentacles. He wrapped his arms around Cross' rib cage. A couple tentacles wrapped around his tail. He placed his head on his shoulder.
"Ya." Cross placed his head upon his significant other, hands overlapping. He gently kissed his head, teal blush forming on his cheeks.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"Id rather not. "
"Ok."
"I love you."
A gentle snore told him that Nightmare had fallen asleep again. He kissed his head one more time before repositioning themselves so they were laying down. Nightmares head rested on his rib cage.
His tentacles wrapped around him again and a small "I love you too" was heard. Cross gently pet Nightmare's skull. Slowly he blacked out, sleeping for the rest of the night peacefully.
