"And finally, the matter of padawan (l/n)" Yoda sighed at the thought of what Mace Windu was bringing up. The Jedi council was currently in session, they had lost many Jedi as the war had started and even now, weeks after it had started they still had to deal with the fallout of the first battle of the war.

"Sarrissa Jeng

"Sarrissa Jeng. His master she was" Yoda nodded at the thought of the Jedi who had fallen at the battle of Geonosis. "A new master the boy requires. Not ready yet is he to face the trials"

"The past few weeks he's been rotating between masters" Mace elaborated to the council

"The past few weeks he's been rotating between masters" Mace elaborated to the council. "Hardly a good solution"

"I agree" Master Plo Koon replied with a nod. "Which is why I have a suggestion" this gained the attention of the council causing everyone to turn to him.

"Eager to hear I am" Yoda smiled at his friend

"Eager to hear I am" Yoda smiled at his friend.

Plo glanced around the room before leaning back into his seat and speaking. "My former apprentice, Bultar Swan, has proven herself more than capable as a Jedi knight. I am certain that she is now ready for a padawan of her own. If she is willing I'd like for the boy to become her new padawan"

"Second this idea I do" Yoda spoke quickly. He knew that if Plo thought Bultar was ready than that was the case.

After that it was only a couple of moments before the rest of the council agreed. Nobody saw any reason to object. Bultar may be young but that didn't necessarily mean she wasn't ready.

An hour later, the temple medical ward

(Y/n) (l/n) was one of the few Jedi volunteering to work in the medical ward instead of fighting in the war. The boy had never liked fighting, especially after the battle of Geonosis. The boy hadn't even wanted a lightsaber at first. These days he didn't even keep the lightsaber on him, he kept it in his room.

"Don't rush yourself master!" (Y/n) quickly rushed to the side of Aayla Secura as she got up from her medical bed with the help of her former master. "Your injuries are quite extensive"

"I'll be fine Padawan" the Jedi master smiled at him.

"Yeah

"Yeah. Besides, I'll look after her" The masters master spoke with one of his signature smirks. "She'll be fine"

(Y/n) sighed. He knew master Vos would take care of his former padawan so he just nodded, prompting the two to smile at him before leaving the medical ward. It wasn't worth the potential argument.

"Nobody can stop Quinlan Vos. He will take good care of her" (y/n) turned quickly to see Plo Koon standing behind him.

"Wait what?" (Y/n) looked between the master and the door that the other two Jedi had just left from. "How did you-" he was cut off as the master walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

"The council knows the past weeks have been rough" The boy looked down at the ground briefly before letting go of his emotions and looking back up at the master. "We have found a master for you who we believe you'll find a suitable teacher"

(Y/n) nodded. He wasn't sure how he felt about replacing his previous master but he knew it was bound to happen at some point. "And who may that be?" He asked curiously.

Plo Koon glanced behind the boy before motioning for the boy to turn around. "(Y/n) (l/n), meet Bultar Swan"

"A pleasure to meet you" the woman bowed as (y/n) quickly did the same. "I look forward to completing your training"

"Thank you master" (y/n) replied with a small smile

"Thank you master" (y/n) replied with a small smile.

"I shall leave you to get better aquatinted" Plo nodded at the two before taking his leave.

"So... how does this work? Do we just act as if we've always been master and apprentice? Do we just stand here awkwardly? Do we do something else entirely?"

"I have to admit I'm not really sure" Bultar replied with a shrug. "I assumed this would just come naturally. I guess not"

"Well as long as I'm not the only one feeling that" (y/n) replied with a shrug. "Over time I'm sure this'll get easier... I hope" the boy smiled lightly. He didn't know much about this woman but he was sure if master Plo and the others thought she'd be good for him then everything would be fine.
