Embarrassed, Evelyn dissuaded Bianca.

"Bibi, you don't even know the Duke's itinerary yet."

"No, I'll make it somehow even if I don't have time, so that's fine."

"What?"

"If you invite me, I'd love to go."

With Islay's enthusiastic response, Evelyn was speechless.

Bianca smiled triumphantly.

"Look, Uncle Lay is coming, too!"

"Yeah, yeah......."

How did this happen?

Evelyn looked at her daughter, a child with an innocent face, with stunned eyes.

But Bianca was already looking up at Islay with sparkling eyes.

"You know, Mr. Lay."

"Huh?"

"What have you done for Thanksgiving so far?"

"Well, I didn't do anything special......."

Islay blurted out the end of his words.

In fact, for Islay, Thanksgiving hasn't been such a fun day.

When I think of my childhood, the first person I remember was my grandmother with a stern face.

After his father's early death, his mother, unable to resist the Duke's loaner's ventilation, left the Duke.

So left alone, the Duke's Grandmother was always hard on him.

"Lay, didn't I say you shouldn't hold a fork like that?"

A meal with my grandmother had never been comfortable.

So that he wouldn't be criticized by his grandmother, he didn't even know if food went into his mouth or through his nose.

But then, too, there was the first time I truly enjoyed Thanksgiving.

That was after he and Evelyn were lovers.

"I baked a little pumpkin pie......but the side was crushed."

The scent of pumpkin pie floating in the calm air, and Evelyn smiling awkwardly.

Kissing her on the cheek, I prayed for this happiness to last forever.......

'I don't think I've celebrated Thanksgiving ever since Evelyn left.'

It was only a moment that the happy days were painted with despair, and after that, Islay went through the whole empire to find Evelyn.

"Ay, but wouldn't you have done something? It's Thanksgiving."

Just in time, Bianca asked Islay back with a look of anticipation.

"Didn't you eat something delicious?"

"Delicious?"

"Yes, because Uncle Lay is a Duke, he must have eaten a lot of delicious food."

"Well, it's delicious......."

That murmured Islay, suddenly he caught his eye with Evelyn.

"Pumpkin pie."

At that word, Evelyn's eyes shook finely.

"I had the best pumpkin pie in the world, maybe eight years ago."
