Aaron's POV

The fuck with my habit of sleeping like a koala on the most important day of my life. And thank goodness for that annoying hummingbird of my life. If she didn't come on time, I might have burned the entire world into ashes with my guilt and anger. She was a saviour and I would remind her that once I was finished with my day.

I saw Aisha from the rear-view mirror, keeping her hand high in the air as she watched me going away until I turned from the street. That fucker of a heart in my chest jumped in delight at the sight of that angelic face. I personally, with all my being, declare her my best friend. She had been there all the time. I wanted her help; She was ready without questioning. I wanted a motivational speech; She was there to talk. And I wanted to 'rock the meeting'; she was there to be my rock and wake me the fuck up.

With my free hand, I unwrapped the sandwich and took a bite. God damn it, mom would be so proud of me to eat before leaving. She might kiss Aisha a million times after knowing that she made me breakfast, which I usually ignore, for I prefer to eat in my office. Hell, she even adores chocolate as much as mom. Okay, well, not as much as her coz my mother dearest was a freak for chocolates or anything with chocolate.

I parked the car in the VIP parking of the main hotel office just in time, grabbing the folders and pen drive with me. Uncle Jacob was looking as handsome as he could in his navy blue suit jacket, standing with my father in front of the conference hall. I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath, as I walked toward them.

Fuck, I was nervous. Their heads snapped in my direction, making me smile at each one of them.

"Hey, underwear boy. Good morning." Uncle Jacob said. I rolled my eyes at him.

One day, when I was a tiny little sunshine of his life, mom made him babysit me and I pooped in my underwear and on his bed. I was only a year and a half, and not potty trained. Ever since I was the underwear boy.

I smirked. "If you call me that one more time, I will for sure poop in your bedroom and let auntie Amelia wash it off."

"Your son is more disgusting than you are. I tell you." He said to dad.

He shook his head. "C'mon everyone is here," he said, making my heart beat a little faster.

You are the best among the best, buddy. You have nothing to fear about. All these weeks of knowing each other, I know you will give your best. Aisha's voice ringed in my ear.

I can do this.

I will do this. Yes, fucking let them bow down to my feet.

But, how the fuck did she even notice the slightest of the details on my face? I calmed myself, removing the frown from my forehead and all the tension as I relaxed my shoulder and face muscles. I stepped inside and stood near the projector, connecting the pen drive to my laptop.

Soon, people started filling the room, nodding at me and dad. He returned the gesture with a simple nod to all the required head departments. Dad walked toward me, as I shuffled the papers in the right order, which I did not have to do as Aisha and I sorted everything last night.

His muscular arm patted my shoulder, and I looked into his eyes with a smile. I was confident that those government officials would not be going out without signing the deal. What was messing with my nerves was that one look of certainty in his eyes. Or maybe tears? yeah, maybe. But, that rock-hard stone's heart man, I call my father, was made up of steel and hardly cried.

Except for everything that includes Reine. Not that he doesn't love me. Of course, he does. Why else would he put his trust in me to hand this multi-billion dollar business my hands?
