When chase walks back to the table he looks startled. His beautiful emerald eyes are glossed over, although I only get a short glimpse before he looks down at his feet and sits down

"Chase?" Aiyana questions the on edge boy

"what" he seethe like he's about to punch someone

"is everything alright?"

"everything is perfectly fine now please could you shut the hell up" he snaps

what happened for him to act like this, like he's going to strangle anyone who comes within two feet of him. it's as if anger is radiating off of him.

He runs his veiny hands through his black fluffy hair as if thinking abouy sometjing huge his jawline is clenched, ans his lips are pressed together in a thin line.

"let's, go back to the room, shall we?" Scarlett says with a slight stutter

everyone nods and gets up except Chase, he hesitates before standing up and walking out of the hotel

"what the hell is up with him" Cody groans annoyed his best friend is being so cold

"come on, let's give him a second" Aiyana says gesturing for us to go to the room

I wake up suddenly, my heart racing, nightmare.

3:18am

I groan, getting out of the bed to get a glass of water.

I walk out out of the room and turn to the left, opening each cabinet until I found a water glass, I then walk over the the sink and fill it up.

Looking up after practically chugging the water I see Chase smoking on the balcony.

Questioning why he's up right now I walk over and open the sliding door.

there's two chairs and a small table in the middle looking out to the ocean on the balcony, Chase is sitting on the one closer to the railing, I walk over slowly and sit down next to him

"Valentino?" I turn and look at him but he continues to look forward at the view.

"You shouldn't be up right now."

"and you should?" I laugh slightly

"yes, you should, go back to bed."

"not with you still sitting here, you need to sleep"

"I don't need to do shit. Go to bed"

"Valentino, you need to sleep"

"Madden" he says slamming his hand onto the table making me flinch

"Don't tell me what the fuck I need. This is none of your business. You wouldn't understand anyway. You're a nobody." His words ring through my ears, my eyes start to water, I try to swallow the knot in my throat but fail as the small okay I said to him while getting up was right through a voice crack.

I walk back into the room and lay down once again.

People only ever liked me because of my family. I never had real friends. I mean, i'm boring to hang out with too. my personality is bad, i'm annoying without even knowing it until it's too late and no one wants to be around me anymore. And half the time I can't stop talking and everyone thinks i'm an idiot. Even my parents. Xavier is the perfect kid. He's successful and well liked, he has a beautiful wife who owns a designer store, he was always good at business and sports, he used to play football. He was the star, it's always Xavier, they put him first with everything. Im just the idiot child they had after him hoping I would be just as great and now they're stuck with me.
