Earlier that day you mainly just layed there in bed having a layed back day, until later you got a knock on your door.

"Hey honey! Your friend is here!" Mom yells.

You widen your eyes and immediately stand up, running down the stairs.

As you get down you turn and make your way to the front door, and see Gus at your door.

"Gus!" You say.

"Y/N! You're okay! After your text last night I got so worried and I wanted to check on you!" He said giving you a big hug.

You hug him back.

"Gus! I'm okay, I'm doing better." You say.

"You sure? He hasn't bothered you?" He says.

"I'm okay, I'm doing fine." You say.

"Are you sure? I brought you snacks." He smiles giving you a bag of candy.

"Oh Gus you didn't have to." You smile sadly.

"I had to! Anything for my best friend!" He grins.

"Do you wanna hang out?" He asks.

"Sure we can." You smile.

"Yay! I had an idea we could go palisman racing!" Gus grins.

"Let's do that!" You grin grabbing his arm and rushing away.

A big grin forma across his face.

"Over here, this is a great place to do it." He says.

Just beyond the trees lies a big stretched out field, so vast and so pretty.

"Wow... I've never been here." You say.

"I used to come here myself when I was little." He grins.

"It was my comfort area, whenever I was struggling I'd always run into the woods and eventually I run into this place and it's my favorite spot." Gus grins.

"Aw Gus..." you frown.

"It's okay though, I'm honestly really happy to share this with you, I've never shared this place with anyone, not even Willow." Gus blushes.

"Really? But you guys are best friends!" You say.

"Yeah, I dunno." Gus smiles.

"But anyway! What are we waiting for?? Let's get racing!" Gus grins.

"You're so on." You smirk.

The 2 of you ready your palismans, and get ready to start.

"On the count of 3, let's race all the way to those 2 trees wayyyyyy over there." Gus says pointing them out.

"You got it." You grin.

"1....2...." He begins.

"3!" You say early and immediately zoom.

"Wait!!! Y/n!!" Gus yelps zooming to catch up to you.

You cackle on your way racing down the field, the wind in your hair feels so nice. Everything was going smoothly until Gus finally caught up.

"Heeeey~" he grins.

"How'd you-?!" You yelp.

Gus cackles and zooms off, you try to put more speed into your palisman.

"Cmon... we can beat him!" You say patting your palisman.

Your words of reassurance gives your palisman a big zoom of energy, reaching up to Gus's tail.

"Ah shoot!" Gus says, trying to speed up.
