"What are you going to do?" Mina asked in a low voice.

"What should I do? I need to see her. I need to touch her. I need to kiss her. I need to stand next to her and tell her that everything will be okay, that I am there." Jeongyeon answered her.

"Are you willing to take a risk to be with her?" Mina asked seriously.

"I am."

"You must be convinced. We will never be able to go back. Are you convinced of it?"

"I would never go back no matter what, because without her it makes no sense to live." the oldest affirmed.

"Listen to me, there would be a solution. You and Nayeon have to run away from here. It will take you some money to pay for a ship bound for Portugal. Nobody knows you there and nobody would ever suspect you are there. Are you ready to take the risk?"

"I am."

"Then I'll explain my idea to you."

Kim House

It was a day that Nayeon was locked in the guest room, without eating, without drinking, without getting up from that cold, empty bed. She had seen Mr. Yoo forcefully take her beloved away from her and by now she knew she would never see her again. She would have had to marry Lee Minhyuk, while Nayeon would have had to rot without a family anymore but, above all, without her loved one.

A touch on her door made her awaken from her negative thoughts and, despite her unpleasant condition, she got up to go and open it. It was her surprise when she saw a man in front of her.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Nayeon asked in fear.

"It's me, love." the man whispered.

"Jeongyeon? Why are you dressed like that? I don't like you as a man." Nayeon said.

"I don't have time to explain. Here, this is your document. Also wear this scarf to cover your face." she told her, giving them to her. Nayeon looked at them puzzled. "Come in, I'll explain while we go to the port."

"To the port?" Nayeon asked worriedly.

"Do you trust me?"

"Blindly. I trust myself completely in your arms."

"You will not regret it."
Jeongyeon took Nayeon in her arms like a bride and placed her on her horse, then went up and took her troubles. "Hold me close."

Nayeon hugged her waist and Jeongyeon set off on the horse.

"Now can you explain me what we are doing?" Nayeon asked, hugging Jeongyeon tighter.

"We are running away, my love. We were lucky because your first name is not Kim Nayeon, but Im Seoyeon and mine is not Yoo Jeongyeon, but Yoo Kyungwan, as my father was hoping for a boy. If we hadn't had different names, we should have falsified the documents."

"How did you get mine?"

"Myoui Mina went to see your sister Jennie. She found it in your room."

"Myoui Mina? What if she was the one who told my father about you?" Nayeon asked suspiciously.

"Mina is helping us."

"What if she is deceiving you?Jeongyeon, you can't risk it. Your life is at stake." Nayeon said seriously, hugging her tighter, more to show her concern than because of fear of falling.

"Nayeon, are you sure you want to run away with me? Wouldn't you rather live with a man and in your father's good graces? Wouldn't you like to have his forgiveness?"

"Why on earth? That man doesn't love me. He never wanted me. I was born only from a relationship between my father and his mistress, who was killed for it. I want to be with you."

"What your father said made me think: you don't deserve this. I'm ruining you. I should take you home. What I'm doing is crazy."

"Jeongyeon, it would be crazy if we stopped now. We are one step away from freedom. Let's do it for us, for our love. For all the people who would like to escape unhappy marriages. For all abnormal people like us. For me. Do it. Do it for me."

"If you are convinced, let's do it, but know that you will not be able to withdraw anymore."

"I won't. As long as I have you by my side, I won't. I'll just give up without you. You are my strength. The only disease that makes me strong is to love you."

Jeongyeon smiled and hit the horse harder, making it go faster.

"It's amazing. Mina helped me. She helped us. Could it be that she is one of us too? Could it be that she loves you and is helping you to win you over? What if she was helping you by deceiving you? What if she wanted to kill me?" Nayeon said, speaking seriously.

"You are paranoid." Jeongyeon commented, with an amused smile on her mouth.

"I'm just wary. Remember, never trust. Trust only you and me."

"Why should I trust you?" Jeongyeon asked, obviously making fun of the girl.

"Because... Because... Because I love you."

"What if you're lying to me?"

"Then go to the port with Mina." the girl said, attacked by a moment of jealousy.

"Don't be like that. I love you too. Now keep quiet. We are almost in town and nobody must hear our voices. We can't risk being recognized."

But Nayeon was still worried. There was never any good blood between her and the Myoui sisters and the Park sisters. There had been several occasions when Nayeon had criticized those girls and they had learned of it. Jihyo had sworn revenge and Nayeon was afraid she couldn't trust even Roseanne, Lisa, Momo and Mina.

It was a silent journey, which ended with the arrival at the port of Incheon. The girls presented their papers and immediately boarded as Yoo Kyungwan and Im Seoyeon, who were really them, but no one called them that now.

"I'm afraid, Jeongyeon." Nayeon whispered as she watched the harbor go away.

"About what? I will always stay with you. Where we are going, they won't find us." the girl promised her, hugging her from behind her.

"No. I'm afraid of the sea."

"Mina, what are you doing here?Where is my daughter?" Mr. Yoo asked when he saw the girl.

"Mina, is Jeongyeon home?" her father asked her.

"You went out shopping. Where is my daughter?" Mr. Yoo asked impatiently.

"Mina, talk!" her father yelled at her. "Don't make me give you to anyone other than Chaeyoung."

"Father! She's crazy!" Mina exclaimed, as soon as she heard the threat from her father to her, knowing that he would give him to someone else without any problems. "We were in the wagon with Jimin when she got out and she screamed that she would run away."

"Where? Mina, do you know where?" Mr. Yoo asked nervously.

"Towards Portugal."

I am writing several books
But
I'm thinking of an original or at least nice storyline like this one
On the one hand I would like to do something set during the Second World War, but it is a very delicate subject, what do you think?
