"Logan wait!" I tried to grab her arm but she pulled away before I could even touch her.

"Please!" I called out.

She went straight to her locker and collapsed in front of it.

She looks so empty.

I hate that I'm the reason for this.

I never wanted to hurt her.

I should have stayed away from her.

I should have let her live her life and just admire her from afar.

But what happened happened and now I'm paying the price.

She sat there, curled up in a ball.

I slowly approached her, gently placing my hand on her arm, "Logan, please."

"I told you, I'm done." She said, her voice muffled by her arms.

"I have to do this..."

"I want to be with you Logan. I just... I don't want to hold you back."

She just laughed at me, "I'm pretty sure I could have made that decision myself."

"I know... but what if you made the wrong decision."

By wrong decision, I mean actually being in a relationship with an idiot like me.

"Guess we'll never know." She scoffed, still refusing to look up.

"I'm sorry." My voice was getting shakier by the second.

I don't think I can hold it together much longer.

"I..." I started to speak but was interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Finally told her then? About time." Anglea said.

"Don't act like this wasn't your fault," I hissed.

"What do you mean, her fault?" Logan asked, finally lifting her head to look at us.

I watched her heart break as soon as she looked at me.

I can't believe I did this to her.

"I told you to stop and you didn't, so this is what happens." Angela shrugged.

"You blackmailed me!" I hissed, standing up to match her height.

"Oh honey, it's not blackmail if you're taking advantage of a student." She laughed.

"Who said she was taking advantage of me?" Logan chimed in.

Angela looked me up and down in disgust, "Who in their right mind would want that? She obviously bribed you with something."

I didn't even get a chance to think properly about what she said because Logan stood up and got in Angela's face, raising her hand to hit her.

Before her hand could make contact with her face I caught her hand.

"Let go." She scowled.

"This isn't gonna fix anything." I reasoned.

Logan looked her dead in the eyes, "You've got 5 seconds before I hit you, so run."

She turned on her heels and proceeded in the opposite direction.

Logan turned to look at me, "What was she talking about?"

"I can explain everything in my office."

"Is it worth my time?" She asked, raising her eyebrow.

"I hope so," I replied

She pushed past me and marched towards my office.

I hastily followed behind, closing the door behind me as Logan sat in my chair.

"Well?" She said, crossing her arms.

"She knows everything..." I sighed.

"No shit." She retorted.

"She said if I don't find another job she'd go to the board."

"Okay, so why not tell me before? You had plenty of opportunities." She shrugged.

"I didn't know how to... I just, I really care about you."

"Oh yeah, my bad. I forgot the number one way to show someone you care about them is to leave without warning." She said, sarcastically.

"I was scared, Logan. I didn't realise how quick I'd fallen in..."

I took a deep breath, stopping myself from saying what I really felt, "I..."

"I got places to be." She sighed impatiently.

"I'm sorry."

"Right, so what happens when you're gone?" She asked.

"I don't know, I haven't thought that far ahead," I replied,  rubbing my forehead out of stress.

"Well, then you might wanna start thinking because I'm not coming up with ideas. If you really want this then prove it." She huffed.

I have so many but it would make the whole reason I'm doing this pointless.

She got up to leave but I stopped her before she could reach the door.

"I shouldn't ask this but I don't know if I'll get another chance." I sighed.

Why am I doing this?

"What is it?" She replied confused.

This is so selfish...

Logan scoffed, "What, so I forget why I'm mad at you?" She said, raising her eyebrow.

I stayed silent, not knowing the words to respond with.

After a while, she responded, "Fine, yes. If you genuinely want to."

I pulled her close to me and kissed her like it was my last act on this planet, holding her tighter than I ever thought I could. As soon as she kissed me back my heart fractured into a million pieces.

Her hand found its way into my hair, her breath breaking as she pulled me closer. Every cell in my body told me it was right.

I never wanted to let her go.

But I had to.
