"Jesus. Have you seen them?", Joyce was flipping the cushion in search for her keys.
Jonathan was looking in coat pockets, "we're looking, mom"
Will was searching through bags, "yeah, we're- we're looking", Four was beside him his arms full of the things Will had thrown from the bag.
"A- ha!", they all turned to see Bob strutting down the hall, "found 'em", Joyce asked in relief, "hiding under some jeans, sneaky little buggers"
The woman hugged Bob, "thank you. Thank you. You're a life saver", she then looked between the older boys, "can you take Will to school today? I cannot be late again"
Four peered over her shoulder to see Bob, "erm, is he staying over?"
Joyce gave him a flat look, "can you just take Will", her eyes darted to Jonathan, "please?"
"I can take him", Bob spoke once more.
Joyce looked to him, "Will you make sure he gets in okay?"
"Yeah, of course", the man spoke happily, a smile on his face, "what do you say, big guy? Wanna go for a ride in the Bobmobile?", Four looked at Jonathan and mouthed 'Bobmobile?', with a clueless look making Jonathan choke back a snigger.

Four was at school, enjoying the new game Steve had taught him. Basketball. He was shirtless, passing the ball to his teammates, mainly Billy, while Steve made silly jokes in a weak attempt to distract him, "you know, Steve? you can't distract me", he span around the boy and threw the ball into the hoop, making his team cheer, he then smirked at Steve, "I'm way to good" he then went to grab a drink and when he turned around he saw Steve walking out with Nancy.
"Missing your boyfriend?", Billy smirked at Four, "you tell anyone?"
Four looked at him clueless, "tell anyone what?", Billy gave him a 'really?' look, making Four gasp, "oh, that... no, not a soul"
Billy then pointed down at Fours wrist, "I've been meaning to ask, what's that mean?", Four smiled and rubbed his thumb over the numbers.
"Just something that means family to me... I got it before I moved here"
Billy nodded before turning to Steve as he re-entered the gym, shoes squeaking.

Once school was over, Steve and Four walked from their final class together, "she said I was bullshit... that our relationship was bullshit", Steve hands moved frantically, "like, what does it even mean?"
Fours eyes widened, realising he was complexity lost, "erm, I don't think I'm the best person to be asking these questions to, I mean I don't really understand anything that happens around me", Steve turned to him incredulously, "seriously, I'm just going through life hoping I don't get caught or killed", the sentence made Steve huff out a laugh.
"Yeah, sorry", Steve scratched his head, "my problems must seem so stupid compared to yours... erm, how have you been holding up?"
Four subconsciously scratches his wrist, "well, I just wish that El was here... I mean we broke out of the lab together and then everything I did was just to protect her and now that she's gone, I don't really know what I'm supposed to do", they both got into Steves car, waiting for Nancy.
"Where is she?", Steve looked around before banging the wheel, "forget, let's just go", as they were driving Steve looked to Four, "I know why you're here", Four looked at him confused, "you're here because this is your home, this is where you belong... with they Byers, with me and Nancy and Jonathan. We all love you and we all need you here, you make our lives better", the two smiled at each other before going to grab some food.

Steve dropped Four at the top of the Byers driveway and as his car left another car replaced him, "Four, get in!", the boy jumped into the car, slightly surprised by Joyces appearance, "we're going to get, Will, I think somethings happened", she then sped to the school, telling Four about the monster from the video camera and Wills drawing, everything she said made Fours stomach fill with dread as he bang to clench and unclench his hand nervously. Joyce noticed his tick and grabbed his hand, "it's okay honey, whatever this is, we'll deal with it together, okay?"
Four nodded, "okay"
