Okay, the scene has been set. Now imagine Subject 2 and Albedo have finally made ammends

Good, now imagine this. Albedo's corruption takes place and he is slain by the knights. As Subject 2 wanders aimlessly around Dragospine, he comes across where the alchemist was killed.

There he wishes he could've taken his place, not for his original selfish reason of wanting to be "perfect" but because of genuine care because as of right now, the failure was alone yet again
