Albedo walked around Mondstadt. He sees children happily with their parents. He finds it amusing how they point at him, a respected alchemist and captain of the knights, and excitedly look up at their mothers or fathers. "I want to be like him when I grow up!" they would say as their parents would laugh, say they loved them and encourage their dreams. Albedo just smiles in return.

The childhood bliss of naivety. Albedo wonders how that would feel like.

Albedo wonders how it feels like to be told by his mother that he was loved by her. His Master was a cold woman. Though she would sing his praise in his academic breakthroughs, she never genuinely said she loved him.

Perhaps he was being selfish.

Perhaps his Master only did view him as an experiment. Perhaps his Master truly left him.

But why did she leave? Was there something wrong with him? Was he also a failure in her eyes? Is that why she gave him such an impossible task?

Did she leave him because he was worthless?
