"Pass your papers, please." Miss Mendez announced a few seconds before dismissal.
Nanatili ako sa upuan at hinintay na makalabas lahat ng mga kaklase ko.
"Hey doll, you coming?" Tanong ni Eli sabay sukbit sa bag nya. Umiling ako dito.
"You guys go ahead." I told her.
"Lunch out again?" Tanong din ni Kenny habang nakataas ang isang kilay. Tumango lang ako dito.
"Fine, but we need to catch up, soon." Sabi nito saka lumabas na rin sila.
I haven't been hanging out with them lately, because, I mostly spent my free time with Miss Mendez now.
Simula kasi 'nong nag-confessed ako sa kanya a few nights ago ay we became even closer. We spend our lunch breaks together sneaking out of the university, and then, I'll wait for her every after school days and we'll drive together to her condo, sometimes she'll cook for me, sometimes we'll order take outs so we can have more time to cuddle.
It was nice, it almost felt like we're in a domesticated relationship. The thought made me feel giddy.
Tumayo na ako at naglakad palapit sa desk niya ng kami na lang ang naiwan sa loob.
"Hey, Miss. Anong oras ang next class mo?" Tanong ko ng makalapit na ako sa kanya.
She looked up from gathering all the papers from her desk.
"Hmm, why?" She asked, raising her brow and looking up suspiciously at me.
Tinukod ko ang dalawang kamay sa edge ng table niya, saka yumuko para magpantay ang mga mukha namin. I smirked when her eyes automatically went to my cleavage. I was wearing a flannel long sleeves over my white cami top.
I cleared my throat before speaking. Natawa ako ng mabilis niyang ibalik ang tingin sa mukha ko, her cheeks turning a nice shade of pink.
"I want to drive to the next town and have a proper lunch with you sana, Miss." I told her.
Binalik ulit niya ang atensyon sa pagliligpit ng mga gamit niya.
"I have a quick meeting with the Dean in a few minutes, but other than that my schedule's clear for the rest of the day." Sagot niya saka dinala na ang mga gamit niya bago naglakad palabas ng classroom. Binitbit ko naman 'yong laptop bag niya at tumbler saka sumunod na rin.
"I'll meet you at the parking lot." Bulong ko ng maihatid ko na siya sa faculty office.
I was busy reading some comments sa latest upload na video ng performance namin 'nong open day ng biglang bumukas ang pinto ng passenger seat. I watch her gracefully get inside my car. She's wearing a cream-colored silk top tucked into a gray pencil skirt, a white stilleto heels completed her look.
"Thank goodness you ditched your truck today." She exclaimed while wearing her seatbelt. Natawa naman ako sa sinabi nya. I drove the Aston today kasi.
"Why? Ayaw mo ba doon sa denali? The girls loved it." Tukoy ko doon sa GMC denali na madalas kong gamitin lately.
"Exactly. That truck's a chic magnet." She huffed, crossing her arms. Natawa na lang ako sa sakanya.
"Where are you taking me pala?" She asked after a while.
"Basta. It's going to be our secret date." She just rolled her eyes at my vague answer.
"Wala ka na bang pasok for the rest of the afternoon?" Tanong niya ulit.
"It's not like you don't know my schedule by heart." I teased before taking a quick look at her to see her reaction. Natawa ulit ako sa hitsura niya.
Salubong na salubong na ang kilay niya at matalim ang mga matang nakatingin sa akin.
