"(stifled laughing), Did you see the look on her face. Priceless", said the senior boy
.
"I am NOT your brother", said the guy that helped Mia, annoyed once again.

"Why can't you just treat me as your big sister? It's not like you have any siblings", said the girl pouting.

Mia just stood there awkwardly.

"So Dale, I see you've made a new friend?", the senior girl asked.

"Dale? Is that his name?" Mia thought.

"She's not my friend", Dale replied angrily.

"I'm not looking for your friendship, no need to get angry", Mia murmured annoyed.

Dale then looked at her and she froze. "Did he hear me?" Mia thought.

"That's a shame", said the senior boy as he came close to Mia, "She's really cute too...", he then leaned in, looked her in the eye and smirked, "...and quite interesting."

Mia gulped as she saw the senior really close to her.

"Atleast compared to the others that follow you around", he said turning back to Dale. "You're new right? I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other more often", he said to Mia still smirking.

Already, most people in the hallway had halted to watch what was happening. There were murmurings everywhere.

Mia was mildly uncomfortable but tried to speak.
"I-"

"Hey Mia, there you are", said Amanda walking towards her, "I've been looking for you. Lunch has already begun. Let's get going", she said as she dragged Mia by the arm, away from them towards the cafeteria downstairs.

"Hey! Why did you drag me back there?", complained Mia as they stood in line to get their food.

"A thank you would have sufficed. Everyone was staring for crying out loud", Amanda stated.

"People were staring?" Mia asked unaware of what had happened.

"Let's just get to a private table first", Amanda requested.

So they went with their food to a table where no one sat on.

Amanda took a deep breath and began.
"When you told me that you wanted to take care of something I didn't think you'd walk up and talk to The Three.

"The what?" Mia asked confused.

"They're only the most popular clique in the school. Nathan Dolion, 11th grade B, the biggest flirt in school. He flirts with almost every girl he meets. He has such a way with words that it's hard to ever refuse him. He's also a troublemaker. With his looks, he makes the perfect bad boy but rumor has it that despite being flirtatious, he's never been in a relationship.
"Roxanne Deianira, 11th grade B, the most popular girl in school. She's basically perfect. Good grades, kind personality and extremely beautiful. I dont think I've ever seen her in a bad mood.
"And last of all, Dale Hayashi, 9th grade. The youngest and most good looking out of the three. Also the most mysterious. He's charming in the way he walks, talks, acts... a real prince. Almost all girls fall for him. His only downside is his behavior. He's always distant, quiet, never associates with anyone except for Roxanne and Nathan. Cold to everyone, even them. Many say he's just a secluded prince while others say he's a brat that thinks he's better than everyone."

"What do you say then?" asked Mia.

"Well for me... I just think he's misunderstood."

Mia pondered over that for a while.

"Anyways, not only are they fine, they're all really smart too. They get top grades in their classes... well except for Nathan who is always around first five", continued Amanda, "That's why they're The Three"

"The three what exactly?" asked Mia confused.

"That's the thing. They're so charming, perfect, smart, it's hard to give them a specific label that's why they're called The Three. How don't you know this already? Everyone does."

"I just came today. How am I supposed to know?"

"Well I came a week earlier and I know. Just fashi"

"Fashi?"

"I mean forget it."

After lunch, around 3:05pm, Mia and Amanda decided to go back home together. It was then that they realized that they lived very... far from each other (their houses were not closeby at all). They bid farewell and parted.

Mia arrived home.
"Looks like mum won't come back till around seven like she said", Mia thought.

As she went up the stairs to her room, she saw the black cat on the very top step, sitting and looking ar her.

"ARGHH!", Mia shouted impulsively. She glared at the cat, walked around it, entered her room and locked the door. She then worked on her notes.

Time flew by and her mum came back home. She told her what happened in school. This made her mum laugh hysterically leaving Mia embarrassed.....
