"Did my hand just pass through?", Mia asked trying so hard to believe what happened. "Nah, it must have been my imagination", she said in denial.

She then tried touching the wall again, this time slower but her hand still passed through.

Mia began to freak out. "So what now? Dale is a wizard? But that doesn't make sense. Maybe he was also inspecting the area... I feel something off about this place. What could be behind the wall? An alternate universe? A portal into the unknown?... There's only one way to find out", she concluded.

"My gut's really telling me to go while my head's telling me to turn back", she paused and thought for a while.
"I'm really going to regret this", she said as she passed through the wall.

Behind the wall looked like an extension of the alley but it wasn't as narrow. There were debris of broken car parts and trash scattered everywhere. The wall was a little distance away (dead end).

"What happened in this place?" Mia asked observing her surroundings.

"What am I doing here?" she said coming back to her senses, "I'm behaving as stupid as the victims in horror movies."

As she looked around, she immediately flinched as she felt something watching her.

"Ok, I'm really regretting this now", she said as she rushed to the wall she came from.

Something dragged her leg which made her fall.

She looked at her leg to see what tripped her. She was terrified as she saw a black tentacle-like thing wrapped around her leg.

It immediately dragged her across the floor, then lifted her up into the air. She screamed as she saw a black octopus-like figure with two plain white eyes and no mouth. It had a lot of tentacles.

She tried kicking the tentacle wrapped around her leg with her other foot but to no avail. It had a strong grip.

The tentacle pulling her stopped in the air directly above the creature.

Just then, a wide and long mouth with many sharp teeth opened across the creature's body. Mia was completely terrified at that moment. She tried her best to struggle out of the tentacle but its grip was too tight.

"Is this how I'm going to die", she thought to herself as she closed her eyes.

She then heard a swift sound followed by the sound of something dropping on the ground.

She opened her eyes to see the tentacle that once carried her, cut off and wiggling on the floor.

She finally noticed that she was being carried. She looked behind to see that the person had two fluffy white tails.

"Wha-?" she thought really confused. She then saw that the person had two white fox ears on top of his head.

She finally had the courage to look at his face.
"DALE?!!" she shouted so confused.

His white hair was a little longer, covering the area where his normal ears were. He was wearing a blue and white modernized fighting kimono with trousers and was holding a sword (katana) on one hand as he carried her.

He then dropped her carefully on the ground. "Did he do this?" she thought referring to do the tentacle wiggling on the ground.

It's then that she heard the creature roar in pain. The tentacle on the ground gradually began to turn to dust and vanish.

"Get of here, Mia! I'll hold it off", he said confidently turning to the creature.

There were so many questions in Mia's mind but she put them aside and thought, "So he knows my name. Ironic. I'm about to die this is what's ringing in my mind."

She tried to stand up, then she realized she had bruises all over her back and arms. She was sore all over but still managed to walk.

She couldn't help but look back. Dale was unbelievably fast and cut of many tentacles on the creature, but surprisingly, after a short while, about 30 seconds, it grew back. It didn't look like he was winning the fight.

She was already at the wall were she came from, when she heard a loud THUD sound. She turned back to see that Dale was slammed into the wall and falling on the ground.

"DALE!!!" Mia shouted as she turned towards his direction.

"What are you still doing here! I told you to run!" he shouted barely able to get up.

She froze, conflicted on whether to run away or stay to help.....
