Roxanne took a deep breath and began.

"Just as you and I have the mark, the same goes for Nathan, Dale and anyone else who is a true descendant of the gods. Nathan's mark is on his lower back, while Dale's mark is on his left chest."

"On his chest. How did she get to see it?" Mia wondered as she thought. "What do you mean by a true descendant?" Mia asked.

"A true descendant is a person that comes from a long line of direct descendants of the gods, who has been chosen to inherit their power."

"Chosen by who...."

"...LET- me just tell the story", Roxanne interrupted, "You can ask your questions after you hear it. Okay!"

Mia nodded nervously.

Roxanne began, "As I was saying.
A very very long time ago, the people of Greece and the rest of the world worshipped all sorts of gods, among them were Uranus of the heavens and Gaea of the earth in which the greeks worshipped. They bore a titan by the name, Cronus. There were 12 titans at that time and Cronus was the youngest.

Cronus had an insatiable longing for power. Because of this, he castrated his father with a harp which led to his death, thus separating heaven from earth."

"Castrated?" Mia thought disgusted, "So this is the Cronus they were talking about."

"He became the king of the titans and ruler of the universe. He was evil and hate-driven. He married his sister Rhea, who bore some of the famous gods we know; Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades and Poseidon.

Because of his obsession with power, he swallowed his children for fear that one of them might overthrow him.

When Zeus was born, his mother tricked Cronus into swallowing a rock and hid him. Zeus grew up and waged war on his father, Cronus forcing him to disgorge his brothers and sisters, in which he came out victorious. He then imprisoned him in Tartarus, a place where gods are kept as prisoners.

But what people don't know is that when Zeus was in hiding, he went looking for allies to wage war against Cronus. In the process, he stumbled upon Asgard, and met the Norse god, Odinson."

"Odinson? As in, the father of Thor, in Thor- the movie?" Mia asked still finding it hard to believe this.

"Well, yes- but Thor wasn't born then", Roxanne answered then continued, "Odin trained Zeus in the way of thunder and lightning. When Zeus asked him to be his ally in taking down his father, he initially declined, but after some persuasion from his daughter, Hela, he agreed and she joined them as well.

Zeus, still in search of allies, took Odin's advice and met the gods of Egypt. After much convincing, three gods decided to join him, among which were; the sun god Ra, his son Horus god of the sky and Nephthys goddess of protection and death."

"Where have I heard that name before?" Mia thought.

"On his way back to Greece, he stumbled upon a beautiful kitsune demi-god or nine-tailed fox of Asian origin. She had heard that he was in search of allies and offered him her assistance. He was reluctant initially because he knew kitsune's are quite dubious but later accepted.

As he arrived at Greece, he felt that his allies were still not enough. He sought help from Eros god of love and Dolos god of deception. They both agreed but Dolos only accepted solely because he was an apprentice of the titan Prometheus and didn't like the way Cronus treated his master, being their king.

They all came together and waged war on Cronus, which ended in victory as you already know. Zeus finally got back his siblings and his allies disbanded and returned to their various places.
