Skylar Stevens grew up in New York until she was 9. Her parents died in a house fire and she was sent in the foster until the age of 12. That's when Jim Hopper adopted her and her sister Dakota. Sky met Zoey Byers in middle school when Skylar stood up to a guy who was bullying Zoey. Caitlin she met shortly after when Caitlin bumped into her accidentally in the hallway and complemented her Queen T-Shirt. Skylar did the same complimenting her Fleetwood Mac one.
She met Steve Harrington in 6th grade and the two hit it off. They became partners in crime as Hopper would say. But when they reached high school things changed. They were still best friends but Steve cared more about popularity than his friendships. They still hung out but it wasn't the same and they both knew it. Skylar tried to hang out with his group but they were all jerks. Steve used to hang out with Zoey and Caitlin but eventually treated them like ghosts.
