Skylar Stevens didn't know how her life would map out, but she didn't expect to spend most of it fighting monsters from other dimensions.

The party stood together huddled in the Wheeler basement looking at the girl whose name was discovered to be eleven. Skylar sat with Eleven holding her hand.
"We just tell our parents we have AV Club after school. That'll give us at least a few hours for Operation Mirkwood."
"You seriously think that the weirdo knows where Will is?" Lucas asked and Skylar sent him a glare for the name he called her.
"Just trust me on this, okay"
"Okay." The two boys agreed
"Did you get the supplies?" Dakota asked and Lucas nodded
"Yeah. Binoculars... from 'Nam. Army knife... also from 'Nam. Hammer, camouflage bandana... and the wrist rocket."
"You're gonna take out the Demogorgon with a slingshot?"
"First of all, it's a wrist rocket. And second of all, the Demogorgon's not real. It's made up. But if there is something out there, I'm gonna shoot it in the eye...and blind it." He said and Mike sighed
"Dustin, what did you get?" He asked Turning his attention to his curly haired friend
"Well, alrighty. So, we've got... Nutty Bars, Bazooka, Pez, Smarties, Pringles, Nilla Wafers, apple, banana, and trail mix."
"Seriously?"
"We need energy for our travels. For stamina. And besides, why do we even need weapons anyway? We have her." Dustin said pointing to Eleven
"She shut one door!" Lucas yelled
"With her mind!" Dustin yelled back
"Are you kidding me?"
"That's insane! Imagine all the other cool stuff she could do. Like... I bet... that she could make this fly! Hey. Hey. Okay, concentrate. Okay?" He said and took Skylars bag and threw it the air but instead of flying it fell to the ground
"Okay, one more time." He said and threw the bag again ending the same way as before
"Idiot."
"She's not a dog!" Skylar yelled
"Boys! Time for school!" Mrs. Wheeler yelled and everyone grabbed their belongings
Skylar gave Eleven a quick hug and ran up the steps following Dakota
