As the town of Hawkins, Indiana started getting back to normal, Or as normal as it could be the Party was one thing that didn't change.
Zoey slowly adjusted back into the swing of things and everyone started to go back to their normal routine. Except for Steve and Skylar. Their newfound feelings for each other grew as the months went on and both kept pushing them away. Thought they tried to hide it from their friends it was obvious.
Dakota Stevens found herself rummaging through all her drawers for any loose change to add to her 5 dollars she had in quarters. She knew she had enough but wanted extra just in case.
"Sky! Can you loan me two bucks?" She yelled running into her sisters room who was reading with her Walkman on. Sky rolled her eyes and paused Queens "crazy little thing called love"
"Why?"
"For the arcade!"
Skylar groaned and took a five dollar bill she had from her pocket making Dakota's eyes light up
"Spend it wisely"
"Thank you!" Dakota smiled and stuffed it into her jean pocket. Skylar went back to reading as Dakota continued to run around to get ready. The small brown haired girl grabbed her shoes and hopped down the hall as she put them on.
"Are you ready to go?" Skylar asked, sitting cross cross on her bed.
"Yup one sec"
Dakota grabbed the walkie talkie and called in
"Guys you there?"
"Lucas, you copy? I've got four quarters. What's your haul?" Dustin asked
"Take your puny haul and multiply it by five." Lucas smiled
"How?" Dustin asked in disbelief
"While you were scrounging around
like a homeless bum, I mowed Old Man Humphrey's lawn."
"Old Man Humphrey's got that kinda cash?"
"Dakota, what about you?" Lucas asked
"Take your haul and multiply by two" Dakota sassed and the two boys groaned
"What!"
"How!"
"One word, Skill."
"No fair, Skylar always gives you extra cash" Lucas whined
"If your nice maybe I'll share"
"Just call Mike already." Lucas said
"You call Mike."
"I have to go take a shower from doing real work, like a man. Over and out."
"Be ready in 10! Over and out" Dakota said hanging up
Skylar and Dakota got in her new Ford Escort that took three years to save up for. Dakota got in shotgun and turned the radio on to hear Call me by Blondie playing
