Shot in the dark

Family Reunion

Skylar, Caitlin, and Zoey walked through the door of Hawkins Hospital and spotted Joyce and Johnathan from afar.

"Okay, how has no one looked over to two girls covered in blood and dirt along with a girl who's been missing for a year" Caitlin asked and the three laughed

Joyce heard them and She turned to the three and felt her heart burst.

"Z-Zoey"

Zoey looked at her mother with a smile pretending that she didn't feel the pain in her leg.

"Hey mommy" she cried. Zoey would never admit it but when she was in the upside down she cried for her mother for days wanting to see her face again. Joyce felt tears stream down her face looking at her daughter. She looked the same. Her clothes dirty and pink highlights faded but she was still Zoey, her Zoey

"Don't cry, mom" Zoey said wiping some tears

"Oh, these are happy tears honey" she said and hugged her tightly. She felt as if her family was now complete. She looked at the two girls and hugged them as well.

"Thank you for bringing my baby home" she cried

She turned and saw Hopper standing to the side and she ran over hugging him

"I'm so glad your ok" she whispered and let go

"Skylar, what you did was incredible dangerous. You could have died. And so could have Caitlin. It was reckless and Stupid. Not to mention the fact you almost died. And- wait is that blood?"

"Oh, yeah I'll probably need some stitches" she said and Hopper chuckled

"Anyway. Saying all that. I couldn't be more proud to call you my kid." He smiled

"Thanks dad"

Skylar stayed with Zoey as Caitlin got checked out.

The two sat together waiting for a doctor as Joyce talked to a nurse to find out about Will

"Z, I'm so sorry." Sky said feeling all her guilt come up

"What for?"

"It's my fault you were taken. I know you probably blame me and you have every right"

"Skylar, I don't blame you. We were kids. And I agreed to go. I could've stayed home. But I chose to come. And I chose to go back for that camera. That was all me. You and Caitlin are me best friends. I love you"

"I love you too, Zoe. I missed you so much"

"I missed you more than I thought was possible" Zoey said and Sky laughed

"This competition could go on forever"

"How about we cut it even?"

"Deal."

Skylar then realized she hadn't seen her Sister.

"I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere" Sky said and Zoey nodded as she ran down the hall.

She stoped at the waiting room seeing everyone asleep. She smiled seeing Dakota asleep on Steve's shoulder and Lucas next to Dustin.
